Would love Bombers to get up tonight, but think Valley have us covered in a number of areas. That said, given the state of the ground, anything could happen. Or by who actually wants the ball most. Conditions are the same for both teams. Advantage for Bombers is knowing exactly where to hide in the dark patches that the lights don't hit and knowing not to even enter the centre square tonight. Will be there if my tanning appointment finishes on time.

Well I said it would be close. Disappointing crowd tonight. Well done Valley a deserved win, but was a great contest all night. Horrible conditions, but oval held up OK, not sure how it will be after tomorrow's games though. Also umpiring was average for both teams with too many frees being paid for incidental things, let the play go a bit when it's wet for Gods sake. Look forward to meeting Valley in the finals, should be a great contest if it happens!

Was impressed by both teams last night it was a great display In those types of conditions, one of those games which could have easily gone either way was exciting to watch. If these two teams can make it to the GF and put on a show like that we will all be In for a treat .

Particularly impressive was the skill level in conditions that were almost arctic. still thawing my feet and hands. Ball movement was incredibly quick and clean and neither side could have been accused of anything other than total commitment to the ball. Horrible night fo forwards, yet both sides still kicked 10 a piece. A great showpiece for what the SFL should be known for rather than 200 point thrashings week after week. Pity I didn't see any SFL officials, must have been home with the pipe and slippers.

No, Valley got about 3 goals up at the start of the last, then the Bombers lifted a gear. I think that Valley went a little bit negative with 10 minutes to go and Bombers really lifted. The last 5 minutes was some of the most desperate footy I've ever seen from both sides. No 2 for HV was inspirational for the whole game and the way he threw himself in, surprised he didn't kill himself and others. Overall a great game, but let down by the number of people who attended.
