Very clearly outlines the rules and the penaltys if you dont abide by these rules. All players have 1 week from last night to sign 1 and hand it back or they will be unavailable for selection next week. The A Grade coach has asked his players to do so by Saturday to lead the way for the rest of the club.Very good move by the club and i think the few remaining minor problems we have there will hang themselves or follow the rules. I must applaude the club on the changes they have made this year since the nutcase father lost the plot against Trinity, things such as the COC, dry zones, moving the hill on etc. No club is perfect, but we are definately moving down the path of making ours a better place. Good on the footy committe and coaching staff, keep up the good work.

Well done, lets hope others follow the lead

Well done ingle farm. I know they have had some issue in the past but this is definitely going in the right direction.

How long would his career have been if it had been in place when he was playing?

I heard that too and suddenly remembered all the games we played at Salisbury where he was the main instigator of issues between our club and theirs in the early days !! Almost laughed myself off the road.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I remember getting called an "effing little cheat" when I was a 14 year old boundary umpire and a prominent CDFA official was at the game. He may, or may not have, been at the game watching his son. He may or may not have been the current SAAFL chief ;)

Nope. Without the benefit of a visual record of the call, I may or may not have made the right call. However, the call was not made because I was a cheat ;)

Growing up with one of his sons a grade above and another a grade below at Salisbury, as well as my old man playing footy with him, I am certain I could fill a book with stories.

I'm not sure if it's as a result of the 'crackdown' but I will say that I've been pleasantly surprised by the lack of thugs running around in the C grade comp, which has previously been a haven for the barely out of the cave blokes who just like to run around whacking blokes. In the games I've played, I've not seen a real dust up yet and no real behind the play action. It's a good thing for all.

I am not sure it really is the crackdown, the C grade comp has been pretty good over the last couple of years, not too much has really happened. Maybe the old thugs have now retired???

Games changed so much in the past 10 years. Even c grade is @ a decent standard now. Unless you are super smart the big fat footballer playing in a good side is dead. The improvement of lower grades in saafl is significant since let's say 2000

Why shocked Jimmy? I would say it is a fair assesment. I dont think he was talking about the lower A grades but moreso the lower C grade comps. There are still some handy players getting around in the Div 8 and the C grade comps. There are some really poor sides but there are a few C grade sides that I have come up against in the last few years that would be more than competitive against some clubs A grades (flinders park last season for one).
