The 3rd is Woodward for striking but as posted above it was an open palm to the chest that the player took a dive from to recieve a free kick should he get games for that I fear for where the game of football is heading.

yeah if he goes for that i'd be very surprised. especially if the other bloke admitted he took a dive. hopefully common sense prevails

Wasn't there an all in brawl between these two sides last year in the finals? Quite a fierce rivalry now.

My first year at CU mate so i am unsure although i was at that game and can not recall a brawl.

Not sure how maxi could charge Zorich! He would come off second best and give away at least 50kg.

Like to make one particular mention to A. Johnson for his shut down role of O'Gorman. I felt he really frustrated him today after O'Gorman set up almost everything in the first quarter for the lakers. That was a pivotal match up in the context of the game.

To The Riddler, credit to you mate for what was a fantastic contest played in great spirit. Be interested to hear others opinions in regards to the game and also the umpiring in both the A & B grade?

I think the umpiring right across the board this year has been criticized by all i just think its a case of over umpiring. I'm sure if they just let the game go a bit more all coaches would be much happier if they just paid the blatant ones and leave the ticky touch ones to the AFL.

I know we at CU take 5 key stats and frees for and against are one of them and twice this year the free kick count in total has been over 60  that is far to many for amateur league football i dont care what anyone says.

There were also 3 reports out of our game saturday that in my opinion were caused by one of the umpires frustrating the hell out of both sides. Well 2 of the reports anyway the 3rd report was for an open palm to the chest that the player got straight up from and openly admitted taken the dive to get the free kick!

hope one of the reports wasnt mr B. Woodward? he's bloody talented but can lose his cool at times. don't know if you blokes could afford to have him out for another few.

Does this guy have anything between his ears? Would be one of the biggest Coach killers in the SAAFL. Loses the plot ALL the time and costs his side time and time again. I'll tip he won't be in SAAFL in a few years time as I can see a life ban coming up for this fella.

Bar20, In defence of the lad he gets tagged, scragged, pulled at and thumped every week and whilst that is no excuse at all it is a bit for a young lad to deal with but again this being said what happend saturday was far from anything a coach would be concerned with it happened 10meters in front of me and it was an open palm to the chest it shouldn't of been a free kick let alone a send off i really couldn't believe it.

The player himself openly admitted he took a dive to gain a free kick.

Yes the frist 2 reports were there but the 3rd one was just a power trip.

Dwarfs :) Blame the people who were there before us ;)

Can't see how the Woody South Ruckman would have had one. He looks and plays like Ben Hudson. Might not be the Cats best player but could be their most important.

I have the seen the kid play and yes he can. But his lack of discipline in last years Elimination Final probably the Units a win, and his subsequent report cost the Units some losses at the start of this season. If that’s not ‘Coach Killing’ I don’t know what is. He will never get taken up by a higher club as he puts himself before the team and will most likely end up playing footy in the country in a few years time. And if he doesn’t like the attention he gets on the football field, probably best he takes up a sport like Volleyball or Tennis.

Is fast getting a reputation as easily upset and you will find a lot of teams will target him and try to stir him up, needs to get it under control and get used to it. Fantastic player and unfortunately it's all part of the territory, Just ask O'Gorman.....Once people know you're easily upset

I agree Old Farmer, have seen O'Gorman smashed from pillar to post numerous times by clubs and he will always get up and gets on with it,like you say you have to get used to it.
Im sure Dutchy will teach him this as the great man put up with it himself thru his great career!

intriguing round.

uni will lose touch with the 5 at the hands of the cats, united and trinity must win to hang in there, clg at home will create a top 5 log jam if they get up and bos can not afford to lose at home to the farmers. if the lakes lose they will be right back amongst it.

i think the top 4 and united will win but clg will hold their spot in the 5 for the time being.

WOW is it tru zorich got off for striking rite infront of the umpire .one a forearm to the face followed by a punch to face...yet woodward gets 2 for a palm in which the bloke took a dive got the free and sprinted to his mark for a 25 m penalty..... obviously it not wat u know but who ya know.. dissapointing...but wats done is done now to move forward ...houghton at home should be a good game good luck to all this week to all such a close comp.
