The Norwood Footy Club to throw the gates open to let all SANFL followers in free.

Middle of winter and the crowds are down.

Saying this early because it is going to need advertisement and i know the clubs watch this site.

Norwood to set a Precedent. :ymapplause:

Maybe throw a free B-B-Q on (with the aid of the SANFL).

Lets get a crowd there. :D

In such poor conditions? Latest forecast says fine and 16*. Let all SANFL supporters in for free and feed them a free BBQ...all that would do is attract freeloaders Dog_ger...

Too Bloody Cold for this Freeloader my friend.... :-q :partyman:

I will stay home infront of th heater and TV... ~o)

Fine & 16....... =))

My Mother in law's kiss is warmer than that.....

Fair enough freeload Dog_ger if we all went then there would not be enough of us at home to help generate more carbon tax!

I think most will agree no matter who wins Sundays game either side is going to have beat that side at least once more to win the premiership.

Going further no matter who wins Sundays game i think both sides if or when they meet in the finals they will both believe they can win. Norwood because they have been the best side in the minor round. Central because of our finals record and our ability to have turned minor round results around come finals.

While both sides will give there all to win Sundays game there is alot of football to be played between now and Sunday (I guess you mean September, the only footy between now and Sunday is being played by other teams) and i would expect either Bassett or Laird to give away to much.
Mostly good points. You can certainly make a case that winning this match is bigger for Norwood than it would be for Centrals, not just 'cos Norwood is the challenger (sure, technically Centrals aren't the champs now, but I don't think Eagles' supporters would begrudge me the point). Also because Centrals' unbelievable minor finals record means that finishing 2nd or 3rd doesn't phase them. Whereas, even with the prospect of a weird 3 week break at the business end of the year, winning the minor premiership would be huge for Norwood. Norwood have (as long as I've been alive) won a flag every time on those rare occasions they've been minor premiers, and conversely have finished 2nd/3rd at the end of the minor round plenty of times and not made the GF.

Can't speak for Centrals' game style, but with Norwood as I suspect with most teams, how they play is how they play. The game-plan doesn't vary much week to week, and so it's not a question of springing a huge surprise in the finals. You can throw the odd player around, but you can't overnight make a whole team play a different brand of footy.

Real good points, i guess match up wise i wouldnt be expecting to many big moves. A player may be left on a player longer than would normally happen in finals situations. A bloke like Paul Thomas who i have no doubt will get a big defensive match up come finals will probably just play a usual midfield role this week etc etc.

Norwood players are holding back all their sledges about their opponents girlfriend's infidelities until September too. :D

Dogs by plenty in this one.

They'd be pretty stupid then, it's a game with nothing riding on it and won't mean anything in September.

The weight of James Boyd's ego would cause it to collapse.

Given they've banned dwarf wrestling it's better that whufc and I don't meet.
