Cheers mate, although we are a few games behiond still and still need to win at a minnimum 90% of the remaining games to get into the finals. I was very impressed with the umpiring on the weekend. Our ump who was a fill in was great. The young lad for Unleywas great. Yes there was someone there to watch him and train him i think (thats what i was told anyway) never the less they were good. Good foot print for the remaining weeks of the season. Had a brief chat with the Unley coach and he was a good bloke. Great day in the end. Inetersting to see the results of the Districts and POS game. Close result, complete opposite to what i thought the result would be. Good on em for getting close and having a full side to travel down.

With these great results Satchel - Ricky and the other coaches, would have to be looking over their shoulders as Satchel, would have to be looking at the A Grade next year, or even poached to do the A Grade elsewhere?

Pretty close if you ask me. Although my lot are not cemented yet. Long way to go. I think Lutheran are a dark horse to make the 5. HV may drop out for me. It seems as thought the bottom 5 are more than likely going to miss out with the only difference being what ive said above. I think it should hit home quite hard that the bottom sides will now be relegated as part of the nerw system. Looks like C3 is just as close up top as it is in ours so the new system will have a big impact next year. Fun times

Our C grade have their last 4 games at home, with the next 2 being against the bottom 2 sides so they can hopefully start to build some momentum. Luthies have got Pt district and Portland in their run home. HV v AL could be an early Elimination Final in Round 18

Good luck to C grade captain, Hope Valley legend and all round nice guy, Josh Woodman in his 200th game today. A better clubman you will not meet and a well deserved life membership of the Hope Valley Football Club!

Some big % boosting wins on the weekend. Close game between the Raggies and Portland 1 point differance. A cat fight between 4, 5 and 6 for the last 2 finals spots.

Exactly right mate. We were very ordinary on the weekend. Hangover after beating the undefeated top side i spose. To Athelstones credit they kept pushing on. Stark compariosn to the great umpiring we had the week before. Im not going into. Lets just say to be 100% honest we were robbed but you cannot base your entire game on bad decisions and one kick after the siren. We let a big opportunity slip past and need to make up for it next week. To their credit Athelstone have been the only side this year to come in and have a beer. I didnt get to have one with them (still devastated after a 1 poitn loss) but thats footy. We re group and make a charge from next week. Athelstone are a good bunch of blokes. Nothin untoward regarding biffs or the like. If one was given another was given back. Simple footy fever stuff. Good luck to thwm and hopefully we will see them soon.

GW no not really I think it was because Jason Dolan who was BOG till half time ;) left to play B grade where he also kicked plenty of goals, is probably what helped Hope Valley up the anti ;)

Too true, Big Ben and the boys from Raggies give as good as they get. You have to respect someone who spends 88 minutes giving you the don't argue, then buys ya beer straight after the Final siren. They play footy, the way footy should be played. It will be a tough series....can't wait, hopefully we can compete with the Big Boys. 8)

The game does not happen without the umpires mate, im sure they all do their best. I think it is very disrespectful of you to come on this forum and single out and complain about an umpire!

That line always comes out re finals and umpires, however IMO the umpires in both the c's and b's on saturday were better than the umpires in a's....
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Ha, cheers, you just keep it simple, it's easier to be consistent that way. I'm getting a few games a weekend and even enjoy it sometimes.
