Why hasn't another rider been called up to replace Evans? FFS, the Equestrian team had to go to their second reserve - ie third choice - horse and rider, with quarantine to think about pre-Olympics.

They have reserve riders, as far as I know his replacement has not been named yet though

It leaves only Australia's triple world time trial champion Michael Rogers to compete, with no replacement being considered.
The AOC said in a statement that Evans was not ready to tackle another gruelling race after his Tour de France disappointments and Sunday's race.
"Cycling has advised he will not be replaced with another athlete in that event."
