Boston got a 140 point touch up from Mallee Park today, the B Grade will win on a Mallee Park technical stuff up, but lost the played game by 10 points.

Rangers gave us a good hard game of footy on Saturday, great to see a few of the old boys out there
celebrating the "82 Premiership.
Congratulations to Max Buckland on his first A grade game,Inty, Tim Stoeckel on his second , Basco and Jock
for helping out.
Marble Range B's shaping up as Premiership contenders particularly with Chad Owen and Wes Bilney in the side.

Wes played two games on saturday - I heard that he was banished to the two's cos he watched Mallee's play at centenary 2 weeks ago instead of watching rangers.

Can you confirm LDS?

Half a dozen games out of him for the year was about what was expected or maybe even above expectations

For those of us who are out of towners and unable to be graced with the error-ridden publication that is the PLT, can we get some info about the letter to the ed?

after the ump quit over the Mallee Park abuse the other weekend, Joey B was quoted in the paper saying that perhaps the umpire didn't quit because of MPFC, maybe the umpire was just inadequate...
Gary Downey, wrote:

As a witness to the disgraceful behaviour of spectators at the MPFC I can understand the reasons the field umpire chose to resign.
The sad part of this appalling behaviour, which was abusive, intimidating, and threatening is that it came from the so called leaders of the club, and other formerly respected community members.
The total disrespect for the officials of the game in what was an excellent, hard-fought match, reflects very poorly in my opinion on the standards of leadership and the lack of positive role modelling so desperately needed for many young people.
In fact, one of the perpetrators should have a good hard look at his own good book to find examples of kindness, respect and dignity of his fellow human beings, instead of throwing the first stone.
We can only look forward to this club accepting their penalty with a genuine attempt to respect the game of football, its laws, and all it represents in our community. And maybe an apology wouldn't be out of place.

The PLFL have had to back down on their penalty due to the MPFC pulling the 'restraint of trade' card.

Downey didn't mix his words. Put JB's comments about why the umpire retired to bed. What was JB on about trying to cast doubt about why the umpire retired and blaming MPFC.

What did you make of JB's comments today re Jim Pap?

Absolute joke of a situation, meeting went at least two hours (may be ongoing as far as I know).

If the umpires back down I would understand, but be disappointed.

No doubt they have the full "unofficial" backing of 5 member clubs.
