Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Andy Stewart get the Units into the finals in 2011 and was then sacked? Not saying Carey isn't doing a good job but kinda makes the Stewart decision baffling considering they'll struggle to make the 5 in 2012.

Andy Stewart wasnt sacked, he wasnt re-appointed... its not a baffling decision if you were here around the club. Carey is doing a excellent job, had the A grade won the 4 games against the 3 teams below them, things would look a little different... AS now coaches at smithfield in div 7 , and there are no coaching miricles happeninig there..

Congratulations to Ivan Novosel on his 150th appearance for the Mawson Lakes Football Club tomorrow. The pint sized and humble champ has accomplished a lot as a 26 year old veteran. He has won a B&F, won the ‘A’ grade Goal Kicking trophy a record 5 times and is the Saints leading all time goal scorer as he closes in on 600 goals. Everyone at MLFC wish him well on his milestone appearance played down at Mortlok Park tomorrow.

hopefully you boys are more focused on the inevitable festivities on saturday night rather than the footy warrior :D wish him all the best tomorrow and he can snag as many as he wants as long as we are in front when the final siren blows. haha

should be a great game as long as we dont serve up the piss poor performance from last week otherwise it may well be goodnight to our finals campaign!

I'm led to believe there was more to the decision than just a win loss ratio mate. I only meet Andy for the first time this year and all seemed to have moved on and i wish him all the best.

As for not making the 5 this year maybe the club looked at the improvement of the lesser like players and took in to account losing Woody for 5 weeks, M.Garner for 3, S.Garner for 4, Courtvfriend for 6, Barclay for 7 and Justin Waters for 6 arguably 4 or 5 of Central Uniteds best 8-10 players. There are also plenty of minor injuires and the like but every team has these. But i can not speak for the committee

By the way at know stage are we or have we used this as an excuse for where we are on the ladder i was simply commenting on why the coach was reappointed.

Given we are at the pointy end of the season and results will determine the final 5, anyone keen to post progress scores over the next 2 weeks?

Was the hardest player to shut down in Div 7 last year and has continued in the same vane in Div 6. Good luck and have a good game Nova's and I hope we never see you again.

Most of them were through suspension - Maybe play the ball might be an option!

Give them some ammo..... I hate that call.

You can only be implying they were not trying 100% to begin with.

Bloozebrother play the ball might be an option hey? Coming from you that is the biggest joke I've ever heard! Did you not watch your teams pathetic effort last week against the very team you speak of? I only ask this as it may have been hard to see through all those tears.....

Ohh thats right you were probably whinging all day to the umpires that you seem to be very good at. Theres always an excuse with you when CLG lose. Maybe worry about your own back yard your not safe in the 5 yet.

What happened your lad didn't get a kick? Would be interesting if Central United did start playing the ball as they've pants your mob twice this year you idiot.

How Zed puts up with your constant dribble on here crying, screaming and yelling from the coaches box amazes me it almost seems you undo all his work
