Ken Whelan Fan wrote:BTB you forgot the word "allegedly"
If Semmler had made deliberate contact with an umpire as your club has reported him for
then dont you think the umpire would have red carded him and reported him.
As for a dog act BTB I honestly thought that you guys were better than that.
You won the game fair and square.
now it seems you want to make sure that our participation in the final series is curtailed
by means other than on the field fighting for the pill.
Your Club has a proud and long history of Success on and off the field......
not anymore it seems.
Was really paraphrasing to make a point about the difference in reaction. Actually I have never mentioned the name of the alleged perpetrator.
And to be fair, if the alleged incident did not happen then that will be backed up by the 2 umpires in charge of the game. In particular Umpire Staunton who was holding the alleged card at the time of the alleged incident. So if this is how the alleged incident happened then you have nothing to worry about.
As for our clubs proud history, this minor incident will not alter that.

I dont mean to excuse the actions of this person but umpire Staunton being involved makes this all the more more beleivable. I don't like bagging umpires but Staunton is not up to A grade standard. Are the umpires that short that he can get a game.
It is very frustrating playing a game with him in control. He makes Pappy look good.
I feel sorry for whatever grade gets him in the finals

After the fact picture of Tasman Captain Coach standing on the mark.

Please note handbag is held in other hand cut out by photo.

On a serious note, would you honestly think that an umpire would drop a charge of manhandling an umpire. Not likely.
For once i agree with CU, waybacks have the right to have it investigated. If it proven completely incorrect by umpires version of events you would expect Carl to get an appology as well.

Tribunal hearing has been confirmed for tonight. I will post results after.
Talk is 2 to 3 weeks down here if it is found that he deliberatly knocked the card from the umpires hand. Rumour has it the roosters defence will be the wind blew it out of his hand.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Brand new poster, first effort on the site, an Eagles supporter thinking CS should miss the finals.
Is that to make your chances of winning easier?

I had never thought about it that way. One could only imagine the uproar from you all. Or is it just that you are all racist?
