Congratulations to the Legs, minor premiers in all three grades, how long since this has happened.

Re: SANFL Ladders & Statistics - Round 23
So how much do the Eagles have to win by today to be inside the top 5 tonight?

Eagles 5th on percentage 46.61 v 46.39 for the Bays
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: SANFL Ladders & Statistics - Round 23
All updated. With one round to go, the Eagles - who've spent 14 rounds this season in bottom place - jump into the five for the first time this year while Glenelg do the opposite.

Have to check the losing Margin to the Eagles in round 19 as it has 0.

They had the bye in round 19. Should show up as a "-" though.

Re: SANFL Ladders & Statistics - Round 23
No worries!
As for North's finals equations, losing a spot isn't that far off but probably unlikely. But the figure is approximately 74 points for North's losing margin and Glenelg's winning margin combined not to eclipse. The Eagles margin required is relative to how much North lose by, ie. North lose by 40 points, Eagles need to win by 12 points.
As the average winning for score is 99.3 points this season, this scenario is based on winning scores of 100 (ie. Centrals beat North 100-60, Glenelg beat South 100-66, Eagles beat West 100-88 ... this will see North miss out).
So with all that in mind, North would be extremely unlikely to miss out. But it's possible, just.

Re: SANFL Ladders & Statistics - Round 23
Glenelg's average win is by 29 points and North's average loss is 39 points. So even average-sized margins would go within one straight kick of doing it. And Centrals is not an average opponent. If all 3 win-loss results line up against North, the chances of them missing out on the finals would be near enough to 50%. Or in any event, not "extremely unlikely".scott wrote:No worries!![]()

The real problem for North seems to be that West have lost interest (coupled with a minor uptick in form for Glenelg).

Re: SANFL Ladders & Statistics - Round 23
No club has ever won all four grades in one season. (League, Reserves & Juniors x2)
Eagles came closest in 2000 ... Premiers in U17 & U19 on the Friday Night, won Reserves flag Sun lunch then lost to Central in the league.... 3 flags & 1 runner up.
Central also won three flags in one season back the days of Adelaide Oval finals (I think U19's missed out)
Norwood's feat of 4 minor premierships this year, especially with their injury list is quite amazing.

Would Sturt stack the Ressies this week to claim the double chance?

Is it even possible for an Eagles Port Elimination final?

No, because Port can't finish above North.
