Who do you think will win this Saturday?
I am undecided between watching the crows final or going to the local footy. Will tasmans win easy and I should just stay home in the warmth and watch the TV or will the peckers make a game of it and it be a classic.

Who will be the unlucky ones to miss out on selection ken? Will experience be chosen over talented youth?

There's a TV at the footy, right by the bar...
1) Local Footy
2) AFL Footy
3) Beer

How can ya go wrong?

That may be the case however WFC e-mailed league on monday night requesting report to be dropped. If the report has been dropped then how can the league investigate.

I'm tipping Tassies in a tight one. Mallee's are always good in September and will be no different this year. I don't think fitness will come into it as both teams should be at full strength. No team wants to play a fired up Souths in the prelim (especially after they have had a week off).

oh and Sydney will make a meal of the crows!

Interesting night at the selection table i would think.
Mind you thats what they get the big money for :)
i would think that Frost, Melzner, Mc Curry would be in.
Wagner,Clements,Kenn Campbell to be considered,
Bascomb should play after receiving a facial injury in his last game,if
the selectors want more pace then Muecke,Perry could get a guernsey.
If the backline needs more bolstering then Alberto and C Bascombe or Christian
could be rough diamonds.

FFS...how can the WFC pull a report that they did not make. The WFC requested the matter be dropped but the PLFL insisted that it had to go to tribunal. It was dropped when the commissioner asked about the evidence and the PLFL advised there was none.

Tasmans have a lot more depth than mallee park and you would think this would be exposed at some stage during the day. Roosters easy by 30 points.
I have heard that the roosters have a sqaud of 35 qaulity footballers on the track at present. We may have to look at splitting tasmans up into tasmans 1 and tasmans 2 in the future if this continues.
Rough diamond C Bascombe would be a good match up for Mally Miller

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

CU pretty sure Mallee Parks depth is pretty good also, there A grade second on the ladder B grade top after the minor rounds, where as our b grade missed the four by a game or two. You are right though have had some really good numbers at training this week with a handful of under 15s and a couple of 17s still training on with the seniors as well as a couple of players that have been in or around the A grade at some stages this season. Should be a good hard game of footy and hopefully weather clears up for all the finals this weekend.

Star the last 5 players in the mallee park agrade are just making up numbers.

I dont read anything into the b grade ladder positions, that is totally irelevant given the lack of decent football seen in that grade this season.

weather will be fine

M Miller, H Miller, K Bilney, B Johncock, P Dudley, Q Ware, R Coleman, W Johncock, Dean Dudley, Joseph Burgoyne, B Pickett, K Williams, Jason Burgoyne, J Tessman, J Jackamarra, K Davey, K Newcombe, L Clements, L Benbolt, M Johncock, S Harrison, W Sumner

There are 22 names that would be a walk up A Grader at ANY PLFL club.

P Dudley M Miller W Sumner
Jason Burgoyne B Johncock S Harrison
B Pickett W Johncock D Dudley
J Jackamarra L Clements Joseph Burgoyne
R Coleman Q Ware K Newcombe
M Johncock H Miller K Bilney
INT FROM: K. Williams, J. Tessman, K. Davey, L. Benbolt

Now I am useless, and it is unlikely the Peckers would line up exactly like above.

But say there bottom few are useless and you are kidding yourself.

Any truth to the story that Port Adelaide wrote a letter to the league and stated
that Byron actually lives in Port Lincoln but works for them part time in Adelaide.
If so just another reason to dislike the b@rstards..
As For Mallees they have an exceptional side
However there are a couple I wouldnt have in my side and that has nothing to do with
talent :)

You are correct KWF, the letter was irrelevant anyway, covered Under By-Law 4.c

4. Qualification of Players

(C) Should a registered player of this League leave his Club for such reasonable purposes as seeking employment, annual or long service leave, sickness or accident, business or employment commitments, without being cleared, then on his return he shall still be deemed to be a player of that Club.

So you only have to be a REGISTERED player in PLFL to be able to do any of these things & then play in PLFL? I left in 2005 for a job. Can I play?
