Which part of sarcasm aren't you understanding?

Bottom line, if a Reserves Team isn't important, then why does basically every other team in every other league around Australia have one?

IMHO they THINK it will be an improvement and fear it will be a disadvantage not to have their own.

They may very well be right, and I guess there's a chance they may be wrong, probably too early to tell.

The experts at these clubs that are so desperate for it to happen though should probably have a better idea about the benefits than us everyday Joe's.

Of course except for 3 of the remaining 6 AFL teams in the finals.
Why, because they don't have a viable alternative.
Anyway it's working and has worked well for Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, Richmond, Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda etc. ;)

We can only hope! Not sure that many Port fans are smart enough to realise that their own push for a reserves side will kill off the Magpies, even the few on this site who appear half intelligent?

Whao whao whoa.... I'm one who realizes what will happen and I'm not one who wants to see it. I'm also a realist. If the AFL or the two SA AFL clubs want something to happen and it's the SANFL who are the ones to suffer or have to action it, mate, it's going to happen.

But am I the person responsible for that, or any other Port supporter? No.

So when you say it's "their push" it doesn't mean I or we on here agree with it, but do things happen at your club that you don't like and can't control? Of course.

So over the last 24 pages of debate we can assume you will make no posts supporting/defending afl reserves ?? Knowing it would kill port magpies ??

Surely anyone who voted yes for the two clubs to be reunited was aware of the potential risks to the Magpies?

Of course, but it was also the best option to keep the Magpies alive at the time as well.

I've said it in this thread, I dont see why the Magpies could not simply become the PAFC AFL's reserves side, making the link even closer.

I've also said I believe the AFL clubs reserves should be in the SANFL reserves.

I've also said I dont see a way that all parties ( AFL, AFC, PAFC, SANFL ) can truly make it work. It's a very complex argument with many parties having a vested interest.

I've also said what the AFL and its two SA based clubs want, they will get and that is undeniable.

So let's look at the top AFL clubs this year, the Hawks and Magpies aside, West Coast, Freo, Crows and Swans either don't have reserve teams or in Sydney's case have the backing of the local league which isn't anything close to the standard of SANFL or the WAFL.
Our two teams don't realise how good they have it for no financial outlay. That VFL can be utter crap on any given round depending on how loaded up with AFL players one side may or may not be! It has zero integrity where as our four games are mostly a nightmare to predict. GET your own house in order Port Flowers

The PAFC want all their players aligned to the Magpies. Firstly it will save money as they will only have to watch one game. But the SANFL won't allow it.

This will force the club to explore secondary options and the ramifications that go with them.

But I defy anyone to point the finger at the PAFC and say they are choosing to kill off the Magpies.

Do you actually believe the merde you post?

Breathtaking arrogance, stupidity and basically not an effing clue.

It's not fair on the players, as some of the AFL listed ones aren't even up to Reserves standard...
