On paper though, 21 vs 21, this looks like it could be among the tightest GFs to be played on Saturday.
I would put a hundred on Mitchell Park @ $1.75
Moot point anyway, I'll be going for TTG as it would be good to see my mate try and fit a premiership medal around his Meganeck.

This is a 50/50 game. We can argue odds, favouritism, bookies and star alignment till the cows come home.
Fact of the matter is, it is a 50/50 game and either side can win. MP or TTG winning will not be a surprise to any learned amateur football league supporter.
FFS we beat them by 4 points last time and we now have to play them with pretty much exactly the same side away from our home! Do we think home ground advantage is worth 4 points?
You could argue TTG have had to play an extra game or two, but you could also argue they're match fit and we have a soft underbelly. Certainly thought we started that way in the semi.
I would be confident of MP beating any other D7 side - and reasonably easily. But not TTG.

Have you taken up drinking Morrell ??? You have extracted every bit of junk statistic you could think of. The facts are simple...... Mitchell park has gone through the entire season with one loss , regardless whether 20 of those wins were by 1 point . If the only other loss of the year happened on grand final day you would be shattered . You can argue all day long but you would be WHITE hot favorites

haha, I was on the internet getting in strife before it was known as the internet. This is a bit of fun and I respect everyone on sa footy and their thoughts. Its just that, seemingly, the majority of them are wrong.Haynzy wrote:morell wrote: In my opinion, you need to witness the games before being able to judge accurately. Sorry Morell, I'm just having so much fun reading the posts and seeing everyone gang up on you![]()
Me saying that Gully's have just as much chance as Mitchell Park would be seen as something I'm expected to say considering my allegiance. However, I do honestly believe that the teams are very evenly matched and may be the hardest one to pick out of all the grand finals on Saturday.
My focus at the moment is on doing some real damage against Flinders Park tomorrow and getting my own medal

Not drinking, not trying to underplay our ability - why I would do that at this stage of the season doesn't really make any logical sense - we're already in the GF. It's just my opinion that TTG are as good as Mitchell Park and on the day if they play better they will win. This is based on seeing them play 5 times this year, knowing quite a few of them personally, their backgrounds and football ability.
We will see on Saturday, I can't pick a winner, but to think "Mitchell Park have only lost one game and are therefore certainties" is extremely simplistic and not at all based on the reality of the contests between the two teams, which have been as tight and evenly balanced as you could imagine. Ignore the scoreline or that we have been lucky enough to win all 3, all 3 games literally could have gone either way. A bounce of the ball here or a different decision there would see the ledger more even and everyone would be on here saying how close this game will be.
In my opinion, you need to witness the games before being able to judge accurately. Of which I can think of 4 people posting on this forum who have done so - Yank Man, Haynzey (where art thou?), MegaNeck and ... me!![]()
The rest of you, are basing your opinions on the Sunday Mail, here-say, conjecture and assumptions.
Go the mighty Lions!
PS - you heading out there Saturday? I owe you a beer or three...
