It must have been sweet to see those 5 goals pierce the big ones when you played us in the 2's; shame about the other 35.

 am i the only one who said anything you peanut??? probably should worry less bout us and more bout saturday....

Or maybe we'll just keep doing what we've been doing? Not sure I'd be taking advice of you blokes at the moment

It's finally good to see unley actually achieve something, instead of you being THAT side who assed itself out of relegation year in year out...
We're doing pretty good actually, got promoted last year and won a flag then only just missed out on playing finals this year. My club as whole has been awesome the past decade... Goodluck tomorrow

Interesting point this one Wood. And I am after some honest opinions here.
I agree your club has done well the past decade, numerous flags in Bs and Cs and one in As.....
But I was thinking about Hectorville for example, 10 teams ago I played against them in Div 4.
This year we met again in Div 4. In the ten years in between they have been relegated twice and won 2 flags...
Does this mean they have had a more successful decade then Unley?? Or if Unley had been relegated twice would they maybe have two flags too???? Thoughts.

As i have said before I hope Unley get done in all grades, they are so far up themselves it not funny, the B grade lost 1 game this year and didnt they have a cry about that! supporters, players, officials all going onto the ground and up to the Elizabeth umpire and blaming him for the loss calling him a cheat (from what i could tell he was just evening up the contest and umpired as the Unley guy has done for years) why not just shake hands and walk off saying the better team on the day won! I loss all respect for the Unley FC on that day.

Some people on here.....

No one had ever spoken a word on here about the Jets until we start winning a few games (along with a few possibly antagonistic, but not arrogant, comments from Jetters) we are now cocky, cheats blah blah blah.

And what pressure is there to feel? Pressure is merely something someone constructs in their own mind, and I think everyone is too excited to worry about 'pressure'.

I understand your need to defend your club. I'm not completely agreeing with assumption of arrogance by some posters.
However, to suggest 'pressure is only a construct of the mind and everyone is too excited to feel pressure' is absolute twaddle. I'm assuming your players are in a 'zen like state' also. I'd suggest if they're not feeling pressure, it's more likely they are catatonic.
Furthermore, 'excitement' is part of the pressure.

Your team haven't been called cheats at all. It's difficult for players to cheat. Your B grade umpire has though. This year, last year, the year before.... winning or losing...

I hope you all realise that I'm just enjoying stirring the pot here...and boy did it work! I am very proud of our club and think that we should be favourites for the B's and C's, but not certainty's. As for the A grade we will go in underdogs but with a genuine chance of winning a flag, pretty exciting!

If I've truly upset any fellow posters then I'm very sorry...well not really but it's all a bit of fun. I like to stir the pot so that there is a little bit of us vs them mentality which can make winning all the more sweet, unfortunately yes it can bite you on the ass when you lose.

In all seriousness though BB said it best, it's not the players or even the majority of the fans that are serving it up on here, just a couple of us having a laugh just like most of you have throughout the year. It's fair to say that when we step over the white line our team is as clean as any in the comp. When was the last time a Jets player king hit someone? Yet somehow a few harmless comments on here get people more aggravated than clubs that have idiots belting blokes.

Moving on. Hopefully it's a cracking day of footy tomorrow afternoon and we can get as many D4 followers down to the old Panther Park to see the best two sides duke it out for the one thing we're all after.

See you there and if you're a neutral observer, don't be ashamed to support one team whole heartedly. Can't imagine who you'll pick ;)

I wouldn't have thought talking about your greater success to someone in your own div wouldn't make much sense, but at the same time success is best measured through premierships. Interesting one. As lame as this may sound, success probably comes down to achieving what your club has set out to do. Each year that is to win a premiership but ultimately, to climb into div 1.

Not sure that I've even answered your question. Sorry, ranting a lot today...

It's an interesting discussion. Is being consistent at a certain level for a long period of time marked as 'success' or is having to take a step back to achieve a win 'success' ??
I know from my own point of view I would rather be consistent at a certain level and be able to maintain that standard over the years than having to drop back to win a flag to be where you originally were. But at the same time, if you drop back because of a poor year or other circumstances and then have a winning year that is successful in itself because you have obviously rebuilt with the correct decisions. So it's a pretty roundabout sort of argument....

First bit of sense on here for a while.....
