A big THANK YOU Yank Man - I'd never been to MPFC before yesterday and I can categorically say to everyone that I was super impressed with what I saw.

Fantastic ground, fantastic facilities and a most importantly a great band of people behind the scenes who are all working tirelessly to ensure the success of the MPFC in 2012 and beyond. The clubrooms were packed on a Tuesday night, I've never seen anything like it!

I seriously can't rate the club and how it's run and who's running it highly enough. Well done to yourself, Ken, Phil and everyone involved.

Do tune in tomorrow night, it's going to be one of the most classic footy trips ever

That's weird. :?

Well done to Henley Sharks saturday for giving us our 1st defeat for the season. The crowd was massive for Div 7 and the game was played at a very high standard, particlarly the 1st 3 quarters. Real finals like atmosphere and pressure and a sign of things to come. Also played in great spirit by both teams and what you want to see each week. Back to the drawing board for us.

Will be a massive day at the "Den" saturday where we renew our "friendship" with the "Gullies". Interestingly, it is the 1st time since 1986 that the A's and Reserves have made the finals together so how great it is for all our faithful that we get to play it at the "Den". Good luck boys, we have come a long way in 2 seasons and let's hope we can make something of it.

Bitter sweet day at the 'Den' Saturday. Fantastic job done by the Reserves, 16 years since they have made finals and what a great job 'Story of my life' has done with them. So much so that we now have 11 extra guys on our A grade list training and putting pressure on for a Grand Final A grade spot. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: In the end Henley had too much experience but the fightback was great. To the A grade, another huge fightback and the belief among the lads to get up and win was incredible. "Gullies' are a really good outfit and so so professional, very gracious in defeat and you get the feeling they want another crack. Now in to Division 6 guys, but it means nothing if we lose the big one. The best part is, seriously, the rewards and enjoyment for all the hard working volunteers and families that support this great club. I feel very priveledged to be at the helm, I love you all. :ymhug:

Always the hardest part of selection on the Thursday Night before a Grand Final is saying sorry champ, you're the one. Have done it before on a few occassions but bloody hell, it doesn't get any easier. Who'd be a coach.

Mitchell Park have proudly announced the appointment of Mark 'Harro' Harrison as A grade coach for 2013. He will be ably assisted by Peter Willoughby as assistant and Scott Weekley who will also continue as the coach of the reserves. Yank Man is pleased that the hard work done at the club over the past 2 years will continue with great people who were associated with our 2012 premiership. Harro is a very special young man who helped me with a lot of our coaching structures this year, was runner up in the Div 7 association medal and won the Lions B&F comfortably and Scotty has been my assistant for 2 years and put the reserves in to finals this year for the 1st time in a very long time. Good luck guys, your passion for the club will see you go forward with great success. :ymhug:

Harro must have come a long way since i played with him at Valleys... To say he was a loose unit is somewhat of an understatement... He was in trouble on and off the field alot, glad to hear he has matured. Always was a great talent and Rocket Willoughby will be a great help to him!! Good luck to them.

He is now a very mature and confident young man Tiger83. I have worked closely with him through his tough times and seen him grow and I am proud to say he is a close friend. The little angry man you knew is not the big strong man of now. Everyone deserves a second chance, but only if you want one bad enough :)
