Club medics confident that Menzel has a muscle injury at this stage, not a structural injury. Hope so for his sake.

I don't know who I would have selected and who I would've dropped. I thought the side looked good on paper. We're we in front at any stage in the last quarter? Boydys suspension has cost us.

Well done Bluds gutsy effort when Menzel went down early in the last and done his knee that was it thanks to the Westie player who pushed him in the back whilst taking the mark tell me why that was that not a 25 metre penalty also i might add an inept and incompetent standard of umpiring for both sides today my question still is why was Josh Wilson not utilised as a back up ruckman for Hannath Hardy must play as a permanent fullforward after all he is the Ken Farmer medalist ????? or is Lairdy waiting for Pumpa to get some match fitness anyway hopefully with the inclusion of Pumpa,Boydy and maybe Westhoff we might improve it will need an almighty effort to beat the Cocks next Sunday and i also might add Norwoodman 78 Good Luck to you guys you are gonna need it against the Bluds 3 weeks without playing a game might go against you.

Hindsight is a wonderful accuracy at times

But did CD pay the penalty for having too many underdunne players in todays line up ?

Perhaps a combination of O'sullivan, Boyd, Nason, Nash if all are match fit could see a resurgence next week ?

Having Obst, Menzel , Hayes all up in the one forward line might have been an error ?

Roy comfirmed the same on 5AA - (and he isn't a medic either.)

Well done to West - stuck at it all day and showed great resolve. Thought they were there for the taking half way through the 3rd but a combination of poor work by the Dogs forwards & good work by the West defence allowed them to stay in the game - and then finish the quarter strongly to set up the win.

Also interesting to hear Collins virtually apologising for his teams game style when asked about the game as a spectacle, saying that as longs as the rules stay the same he will continue to use that style. I wouldnt be apologetic for one moment - you've just won a Qualifying Final!

By the way - RIP holding the ball rule
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

I thought both clubs were unbelievably poor in the first half. Both were doing their best to help the other side win, West was being the more generous of the two on that front. The second half was better, particularly the last term from West, but in general, any repeat of that effort from either side will see them on the losers side next week. Hopefully West have any finals jitters out of the way as being the first side to nail the Doggies in a QF must do the confidence good.

As for Centrals, well North are definitely a chance to win if they play as well next week as they did today. Dogs certainly are not the same side they once were and it looks like the beginning of the end to me...

... that said, its been an incredible era should it end.

Outstanding win by West today. I thought Centrals dominated the centre breaks and had the chance to put the game away in the 3rd quarter, but West were able to absorb the pressure and kick 2 late goals.

To lead Centrals at every break and finish the game off strongly will provide a lot of belief and confidence going forward.

I thought Brad Fisher's 3rd quarter was as important as his last, with a couple of clutch contested marks.

Well done Bloods, looking forward to next week
