You win a final by 5 goals, win the fights and have everything go your way and you boo the LOSERS off the ground.

And that was after you clapped the umpires off the ground, something that I have never seen before.

We were actually clapping Andy Collins off not the umpires. The umpires just happened to go off right behind him.

While I don't condone the booing, it wouldn't of occured if you guys didn't go the biff in the last 5 minutes.

I think you mean wouldn't have.

irrelevant, she still has a good point.

Well. Feel a bit flat. Disappointing final quarter. Westies played a tough game, the sort that can win a premiership. Early nerves were replaced by a disciplined outfit which took strong marks down back and up front when the crunch moments came.

Sad to see Menzel go down. Someone should've been there for the handball, he was never going to kick that - an example of our boys not being at the top of their game.
Hannath needs support and we missed Boyd. A costly suspension for us and him.

Two blokes that haven't been mentioned as playing well for West, which shows the depth of their top performers, were Bricknell and Ben Fisher. Ben, and brother Sam, would've been pretty bloody happy with the weekend's results, a win for Westies and Barmera-Monash are premiers.

On to next week. Let's hope we dish up a more resolute performance than the last time we played the Cocks, who'd be feeling pretty cocky about their chances right now.

Does anyone know any pubs in Canberra which show the SANFL finals?

Zip it Groucho. You're sounding like a sore loser. Who cares what other teams supporters do.

WTF! I expect that from opposition supporters, not one of our own. Why don't you go and join the distant line. (i.e the far queue)

Goooood. Let the hate flow through you.

Congrats to Westies.

Were there any reports resulting from Centrals' brain fade in the last 5 minutes?

I didn't see what happened to Tippett but I did see a West player stomp on a Centrals players head, then it was on. Too hard to see what happened after that.

Enjoyed the contest today - 2 committed sides - lots of clashes, courage from players on both sides and other than the final 10 minutes, played in very good spirits.
Was good to see some of the players coming to blows tap each other on the backs after the siren. Hope Tippett and Menzel are both ok for next week and no reports are made. Want to see all sides in the finals at full strength - No excuses then!

Didn't see the initial incident but the centrals player (Sansbury???) retaliated and Hartlett got the free kick. Think he got reported too. The initial Centrals guy was down for a little while too. (edit: think we are thinking of different incidents after re-reading your post)

Think it was Obst who got Tippett but didn't see that either. Saw a little punch from Chris (I think) Gowans on Crouch but wasn't alot in it and will probably get off.
Go you Redbacks!

Any thoughts on Andrew Hayes' non-goal?
The replay looked like he got contact.

I respect your opinion Mark but it was a terrible game and there was only one committed side that I saw.

Great. Thanks Thiele, any more good news?

Do us all a favour and report the whole side and rub them all out. Then I won't need to go next week.
