There is more drama in this league than an episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Serves yourself right (and thats all of you) for letting them walk over you for 30 years. PLFL better see how much money they have in the bank and settle out of court. Grandstand might be on hold for a while.

Port Lincoln Times .......

THE Mallee Park Football Club is exploring legal options over what it sees as discrimination by the Port Lincoln Football League.

At the club presidents meeting on Tuesday night at Centenary Oval, club president Joe Burgoyne informed the league that after the grand final, Mallee Park would approach the South Australian National Football League about its legal options.

He said while other media reports had stated the club intended to sue, this was not the case.

“We’re looking at our options,” he said.

“We will be looking at charging them with discrimination.”

Mr Burgoyne said the club had been treated unfairly over the past 30 years, particularly over the past five to six years.

The league’s decision to strip Mallee Park of two home games last month after a Port Lincoln Football League umpire resigned following spectator abuse was “one of the final straws”.

“There’s a lot of issues that have prompted it,” Mr Burgoyne said.

“No club needs to be treated the way we’ve been treated.

“It’s about giving our club a fair go.”

He said the club wanted to work with the football league on the process.

The league’s operations manager Robyn Rowsell said the league had been given no further information at this stage.

“We’ve got no idea what, why or how,” she said.

“We believe we treat all six clubs the same and there’s no discrimination at all, but obviously they feel differently.”

Prime example of why we don't need them. This is probably just a timed ploy to try and get treated well by the umpires this weekend.

I think there would be 5 teams that feel they are discriminated against at times.

This story is a dead set joke. Would almost be funny if it wasn't for real?

Only Mark Milton (Tasman), Brentan Dennis (Lincoln South), Jed Carson (Marble Range), Mark William, (Wayback), Joe Burgoyne (Mallee Park), Jim Papazoglov (Umpires & Chair), Robyn Rowsell (Operations Manager), Rod Patterson (Board Member), and Doug McFarlane (Boston) were there
It is highly unlikely you are any of those people when you post the crap you do, so stop pretending to be a member of the PLFL Admin.
