I reckon come finals time Messrs Knight, Yancic, White might all be available and then you will have some selection problems..

Busting arse?? You may want to re-think that wording..

Knight could be fishing (work), Yancic still recovering from knee recon., White in Darwin but should be back for finals.

Where did the name Ravendale eventuate from? as there is Ravendale tennis, ravendale racecouse. Must be that area down there. Do any of the older posters know?
Looked Ravendale up in my dictionary it said : ass end of town, scum, swamp, weather beaten.
Yet in the library dictionary it says : profit making, pleasure, place of pride and joy.

Read the PL Times at lunch and good old Grub quote" panther the punter says to back first starter Rodeto" unquote... Geez WCP, between Bluey & Grub whatever you say gets more airtime than Shannon Noll!!

You will be a genius if the thing wins!!!

Pretty good start to the carnival by the boys.

Day 1 @ Park 25 ... Scratched together 186 against Murray/Barrier on Monday with Dopey 40 odd and myself and Carlos 20's. Looked in trouble when they were 2/86 before big Fridge took 4 fer with Sammy and Shep 2 each to bowl em out for 140 odd. Poor effort by the boys at the dish lickers that night though.

Day 2 @ Salisbury ... Finished with 201 off 47 overs after being 5/180 odd. Disappointing not to push on a bit more. Dopey top-scorer with 56, Brucey 30 odd and Gourlay and myself 20's. Looked in trouble before Carlos and Pooley bowled sensationally to tighten things up, claiming 2 and 3 wickets respectively. Sammy also chipping in with a couple to bowl em out for 170 odd. Much improved effort on the dogs that night with the boys bagging 5 tri's!

Day 3 @ Salisbury ... Lost toss for the first time and bowled. Awesome effort by all bowlers to dismiss a strong Mid-north for 141. Shep sensational with 5fer. A slow, low deck and tight bowling made things tough, although we were 3/50 or so and looking good. However wickets fell regularly and we ended up needing 8 off the last over to win. Unfortunately lost our last wicket on the 3rd ball of the over and fell 5 short. Very disappointing result. Disappointing effort by social director Gourlay that night to have the boys hurry to PJ's only to discover we were the only one's in the place!!

All in all not a bad start at 2-1. If we can win all 3 next week we'll still be a huge chance!

I received this e-mail from the person who gave me the tip for Rodeto on Sunday

'Gday, That tip I give you didn't come from me! Drewitt and Co spewing it in the paper, wanted it big secret. They don't know your panther.'
