I suppose depends on what sort of person you are. I have mates that have played with successful D1 amateur clubs and won premierships, but have hated it as the guys in the team and support staff were w**kers and treated them like crap. They didn't stick around very long. Also have mates that have played for a couple of clubs including country, then gone to D1 and D2 never won a premiership but the clubs are fantastic with great people.
Some people say success is all about winning, but I'd rather be at a club that is more successful off the field.

The slapper is the only person that wouldnt. He won the D1 premiership not the team, thats how good he is !!!

If you asked my opinion I beleive that not Port Districts but Seaton Ramblers (a.k.a u park at west lakes)are the biggest under-acheivers in the SAAFL.Not an A grade premiership since 1990 when they defeated Kenilworth at Prospect for the A3 title.Since then they have played in numerous grand finals and lost them all including arguably the biggest choke in SAAFL history when they lost the 1993 A2 Grand Final by 1 point to SHOC after no one getting within 5 goals of them for the whole year (We all know the story on how they had premiership tee's printed up and some players/supporters went out on the piss the night before wearing them and also wore them to the game).Just my opinion.
