Unf***believable, 2 spuds that wouldnt get a game at Hawks are worth 31/32 yet a guy who played in the g/f id worth 66 and the other was basically 1st emergency.

Or just compare the 4 players, they play similar roles, Young better than Pearce and Murphy better than Chaplin

A sceptic would think the AFL is trying to send the top teams spiralling and give the bottom teams a massive leg up.

No, the AFL wouldn't do that. Just as they wouldnt have handed out priority picks in past years, and given clubs 2 selections in the first 5 picks of a particular year's draft.

Is that confirmed?

Would make sense of the Graham trade if true

That will not happen, crows would have to trade a player who is contracted out, because they only have two spots to fill on their list in the draft, do why would they want pick 11 and 22, they already have 20, so they would have to pass at pick twenty. Makes no sence

I thought that we had three before we take out Tippett? Tippett goes Graham comes in and the Crows would still have three, these would be picks 11. 20 and 23? they would then pass on the picks later wouldnt they?

It would have been that, but the crows have to use their 5th round selection as callinan being upgraded. So it's two selections and callinan

If this was the case wouldn't you think Richmond would have chased Murphy and not Chappy? Chappy would make the Hawks side with ease.

I do think Hawks have been shafted though , especially with Young, just can't agree with your "analysis" of the ex Power boys.

Doesn't the compensation correlate with the players new wage? So pick 66 for young would mean he's not on a lot of money with Collingwood? That's what I read anyway.

Ah Ok then, so now the whole saga means someone may lose their spot on the list. Didnt realise this, I now hope that they just let him go into the draft as Sydney have stuff all to offer anyway, cant see us taking White now either.

Yes I believe it does. We all know that Pearce is getting 500k and Chaplin 450k. Young wouldnt be on much at the pies as they dont have the cap space.

Still on looking at it from a player quality wise the hawks have well and truely been reemed from this.

I'm a Port supporter, and I don't think Chaplin would have made the Hawks' side. I doubt Clarkson would have had any time for his regular clangers, and his softness as a tall defender.

Chaplain is an Agrade spud. Will fit in nicely with rest of Richmonds hacks, which there are plenty.

The good news is that you don't have a number one draft pick.

His "Clangers" may not fit Clarksons mold as another poster has said, but there is no doubt he is a better footballer than Schoenmakers (who certainly still may improve, but needs to significantly!)
