His icecream shop on Jetty Road was always good! Seriously though, a great club man and solid footballer over a long period.

Don't want to knock a guy too much when he's pulled the pin, but at the time I thought he was the worst player to play 100 SANFL games. Was consistent and courageous, always fronted and did as best he could and that is to be commended I think. But just not a damaging league footballer unfortunately.

Yeah, he seemed to be close to selection but never was looking like being picked (not even an emergency!)

Well done on a fine career anyway, a good contributor to the reason why we have been up near the top of the ladder over the last 8 seasons.

He is too slow anyway

I find it interesting that a guy giving it away cant just be given plaudits insteading of bagging him like a few of you have

I never played a legue or reserves game probably like most others on here so give the guy his farewell and cut back on the insults, and i dont support the eagles either

the eagles havent exactly been bottom of the ladder for the last decade so he must of been doing plenty of things right.
most people would have loved to be the worst player to play 100 league games, least he played league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He went up to lofty to play with a few mates that he plays gaelic footy with in the off season.

He was and still is a courageous player, of which I was lucky enough to play footy with. One of the nicest blokes you could ever meet, had an outstanding work ethic and dedication to the club. Often robbed of opportunities in his later years. The Floreani's are a sensational football family and I wish Jon all the best

I just love these guys that have had a go at Jon. Worse player to play 100 games. Well you wouldn'y have seen may of his games. Came 3rd in a best and fairest and in another year came 4th. Must have been a real bad player. i can think of far worse players in the sanfl then Jon.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

As a man who has known Jon since his birth, I am very disappointed to read some of the comments on here. I do not know of many players who had more courage or commitment than Jon. He also had to endure a season or two where he was not given sufficient opportunities early in his career. He could have walked into many clubs but had a real loyalty to the Eagles. Loyalty, commitment, perseverance and work ethic have applied to Jon in everything that he has done in his life. That also applies to the rest of his family. I was taught by Aldo at Fulham Primary, worked with all his kids in my parish and am very proud to have the Floreani family as friends. Aldo actually had a big hand in where I am today.
Cheers

Feel free to name a 100 game player you think was worse if you disagree.

No doubt better than me, but if you want to play and be paid for playing league footy you have to expect to be judged. Goes with the territory.
