there are 100 better players available than M Doughty? Feel free to start naming them!

If you take my comment out of context you can interpret it in a multiplicity of forms. My comment was merely based on the $2000 price tag. In which, Doughty, IMO could not provide an onfield performance worthy of $1400 more than a lot of other players could provide at $600.

A bit of trivia; Adam Cooney is the only AFL # 1 draft pick to win a Brownlow! ;)

I find it crazy that everyone thinks that a player who has earnt his living playing football & probably set himself (& his family) up for life pretty well would be chasing coin.

He may be playing back at his junior club for beans to play with his mates.

Some guys earn an honest living from means other than amateur football.

I think you'll find that was exactly the case with Nathan Eagleton. Purely played to enjoy a year with his 3 brothers and to give something back to his junior club. Nothing to suggest that Doughty wouldn't do the same for Reynella. I hope this is a recurring theme for all clubs as it would be great to see guys giving something back. Was thrilled for Eagleton getting his first premiership, just would have preferred that it was against Reynella!!

Cooney for Flaggies!!!! (Well maybe not in 2013).

Scott Welsh for Marion!!!

Can't wait to play against dogger!

Who cares about the money what a fantastic coup for the SFL.

Not sure, didn't make it to the AGM, but did hear about them having trouble filling positions. The same people have been doing it for a long time now, fresh faces seem to be few and far between. Hopefully it all gets sorted out tho.

Can't believe some of the rubbish on here about $$$$.. Doughty and the other players are coming HOME for little $$$$, they could of went elsewhere and received a lot more but playing together and hopefully becoming apart of something special at oval rd means more than $$$$.. Flyer, Faz is returning along with a list of others.. 8)

Good luck to him, obviously a quality player, but a very big out for Flaggies. 100+ goal forwards don't grow on trees.
