How many points is a club allocated? and is there any leway given at all?

Everyone gets 15

How does the point system cope then with a totally new side like UniSA?

15 like everyone else, that means they could play each week 7 players from other SAAFL clubs all worth 2 points - highly unlikely as I would imagine most of their players would not be players attracting points

could be wrong though, as have been many times before

What would you prefer, we just admit we are crap and write the season off already. Get a grip mate, thats right you're from Plympton, you'd already have it in ya hand, or a teammates..

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

A friend of mine is a trainer at a particular SANFL club and they trained at Flinders Uni tonight. She said there was another team training on the top oval with plenty of numbers out.

Have the Uni team there started training? Or perhaps someone else using the facilities

One of South Adelaide's major sponsors is Flinders Uni and they have trained at Flinders in the past during pre-season. Might be them ????

Yeah it could have been south actually, didnt link the major sponsor to them at first! would seem logical!!

The friend i have is a trainer at Glenelg. they were training there on the lower oval, she didnt go up and look but just mentioned there was a club training with large numbers on the track.

I think the skill level of the training would of told you if it was Flinders Uni or South Adelaide!

Could be a interesting season in this comp with UniSA and Ovies being scheduled as basically one club Uni playing A grade and Ovies playing B grade.
I can see UniSA getting handed some beltings and hope the keep at it.

And on the flipside, Ovies should be fairly strong in D7R.

It is on the proposed gradings sent out for the AGM. I just don't understand it. How can a new club be the A grade team and a club who has been around for ages be the B grade team. Have UniSA even got enough players?

i think this wont work or how is it supposed to work, or better yet, is it just an imaginary story creation made to keep some summer conversation going on this forum

what happens to the surplus players. unisa picks their 21 players for the upcoming game, were do the blokes that werent picked played? maybe theres up to 10 players training every week and not getting a game?? What they just hang around and spectate every week? im sure we'll see unisa forfeiting matches due to lack of numbers by the time winter hits

also do unisa take ovinghams best players last week? and where do ovinghams excess surplus players play?

both clubs will shrink

if there really is a unisa side how bout they just go play for ovingham instead of eventually being bound to f#^k up our season when we dont have a match to play this week cos unisa is forfeiting
