Like i have been saying since Roman took over.

The Chelsea FC only exsists in name!!!!

It is Romans club and if he could change the name he would, when he bought Chelsea all he bought was there spot in the EPL.

Chelsea can win all the titles, trophies and cups in the world but they will never be the same 'CLUB' they were pre Roman.

all us chelsea fans still see it as the club we love, we know roman may do as he wish, doesnt mean we cant air our opinions and doesnt mean we wont still follow our team no matter what....also fans make the team and give the team its culture
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Great news, one less team we have to worry about in the title race
Be interesting to see how this plays out, already rumours that the players are firmly behind RDM and some have came out publicy supporting him. May be a few guys giving less than 100% or looking to exit in January.
Watch Benitez destroy all the clubs hard work in a few months

As I said I don't know much about Rafa's time at Juve, but he did an excellent job at Liverpool .. A Champions League trophy, and he got us pretty close to Man U in the title race, all whilst those money hungry Yanks were undermining him by carving the club up.

He made his own mistakes for sure, but the positives far outweighed the negatives IMHO.

I finally have a reason to like Chelsea .. Well maybe not like them, but hate them less :D

*Inter..fixed it for you

also more reasons why we hate him and dont want him -

Here’s what new Rafa Benitez had to say about the Chelsea fans back in 2007;

“We don’t need to give away stupid plastic flags to our fans to wave, our supporters are always there with their hearts and that is all we need. It’s the passion of the fans that helps us to win matches, not flags. Chelsea fans lack passion.”

Best of luck winning your the fans over Rafa – think you’ll need it.

all this talk on how no one wants the chelsea manger job, i would think maybe its around the other way? Knowing they will get offered a contract for how ever much, then they are out on their backside in little than 3 months, and get piad out for the full term? Laughing all the way to the bank.....easiest money they have ever made...

Lost to Juventus, Di Matteo sacked, Benitez hired, Clattenburg cleared and Mikel charged. It's been a horrible week for Chelsea.

Blog from the Guardian on the Clattenburg incident.

Goodness know what it has been like for him over the past three and a half weeks ..

Pretty much like it was for John Terry over the last year, only with widespread media and public support rather than the intense hostility generated by the likes of your good self Mr Taylor.

"To know you were innocent of something but that there was the opportunity for it to wreck your career was truly frightening",

Yes indeed. Again this is something Terry knows something about.

Alan Leighton of the referees' union Prospect is adamant that Clattenburg deserves some form of compensation. Clattenburg has, for starters, lost thousands of pounds in match fees. But this is about more than those blank weekends. "Compensation for the stress," Leighton says. "Compensation for walking down the street and knowing people are thinking: 'Aah, there goes the racist referee.' His reputation has been trashed.

Again this is very familiar territory for Terry. The difference is, in this case the absurdity of the case against Clattenberg was recognised. In the Terry case it was not, so Terry's reputation stays trashed.

Yes I know the other differences. I know Terry uttered the words. I know they were lip-read on video. But suppose Mr Clattenberg had dared to defend himself by saying "Don't be ridiculous, of course I didn't call you a monkey! You idiot!" and was seen doing so on video. In that case, should he have been taken to court, acquitted, then charged by the FA and found guilty of racial abuse by an FA Regulatory Commission? A reasonable and humane person would surely think not. But that is very, very close to what happened to John Terry.

Anyone who understands sarcasm ought to be able to tell from Terry's use of language and demeanour that he was being sarcastic. Smiling when angry, beginning the phrase with a "yeah"; concluding by dropping the sarcasm and calling the person in question an idiot. These are all signs of sarcasm and all are present in the video. And words expressed with sarcasm take on the opposite of their literal meaning. So "Yeah, I (called) you a fbc.. F...ing kn-bhead!" means "No, I didn't call you a fbc... you f...ing kn.bhead!"

Unfortunately, even though it was a known fact that his defence in court was that he was "sarcastically repeating" the words, the FA's Independent Commission didn't even consider it.

Bizarrely though, the Commission did find it "improbable, implausible and contrived" and "inherently unlikely" that a very angry John Terry would add the word "f...ing" to a phrase, when replying to someone who was hurling abuse at him.

And, seriously, how likely is it that the captain of one of the most ethnically diverse and cosmopolitan teams in the world, who had been captain for nearly eight years, who on that day had led out a team that featured 7 black players during the course of the match, who was standing a few yards from Ashley Cole and John Obi Mikel would shout out racial abuse at the brother of his long term defensive partner for England? Think about it. It is so unlikely as to be almost inconceiveable - even if he was a racist, which he pretty obviously isn't.

On the other hand it is very likely he would use sarcasm and foul language to refute what he thought was a false and outrageous allegation of racism. So why on earth does anyone still seriously think John Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand? It simply doesn't make sense.

It's time people like Daniel Taylor apologised.

Nothing too fancy, just some form of recognition about the human suffering that has been endured.

Score flattered West Ham today, United battered them in all areas yet a goal in the first minute is all we to show for it.
The 2 Manchester clubs are started to seperate from the field now
