Possibility of merging the two grades?

New C Grades to the comp start in the lowest grade C4 and Wingfield, Ovingham & Uni SA will play where the league tells them as they are A grade sides.

Check with your club committees if you are not happy with your grading!!!!!

So is the C grade promotion/relegation or just wherever we nominate to play?

where possible but sides like Gepps Cross & Mitcham have dropped out of D8 & D8R so have to be accomodated as well

The nature of C & D Grade makes it necessary to have flexibility within the gradings

If there isn't any promotion and relegation and the league are keen on allowing clubs triple headers, wouldn't it be best if they put C grade teams in grades where other teams in there A and B grade division are?

Or clubs who are in the higher Divs play in the higher C grades?

There is promotion/relegation in most cases just the odd one or 2 that wont fit for whatever reason

Clubs voted to go away from aligning C Grades to A&B Grades as there were to many 100 plus points games

This year was the first year of new gradings and has seen a dramatic reduction in 100 plus games

Plus with D8 & D8 R there could be grades with only 7 or 8 teams who have a C Grade for example in D4 2013, Greenacres & Salisbury West dont have a C Grade and Pooraka may not and Golden Grove are in D8/D8R- under the old system that could mean the old C4 comp would run with 6 sides

Why's a Div 6 clubs C Grade playing higher than a Div 2, 3 & 4 Clubs C Grade then??

Because in 2012 it was graded on 2011 performances, those placed in C4 were either new teams or teams that had won less than 2 games

Then for 2013 in most cases promotion/relegation has been used except where the club has asked for it not to or there has been a need to make it fit

Where a teams A Grade is no longer has any revelance to the C Grade; it is about competiveness in the grades - understand it wont be 100% but is the most even system

We were new in 2011 and put straight into C3 while other teams who'd been around for a few more years were lower in C4. Brahma, PNU & Trinity all won more games than our C Grade last year & all are clubs higher than us. Can see what you're saying but don't make sense to me. Another teams A Grade has to have some relevance IMO.

im pretty sure pooraka football director would have said C4 please im pretty confident we will struggle to run out on the park with 18 each week and as the season goes on and injuries come in id say half way through we be running out with 13 at best and probably 2 of them will sit on bench just to make numbers

i may be wrong but i doubt it

After seeing the rough C2 draw. Elizabeth should no way be in that div! Dunno who stuffed up and when but im hopin it gets changed before it gets locked in. The travel in that draw could be the difference with a few older heads playing on or not playing! Im sure C2 teams dont want a bye

What about the other 9 games when you don't travel?

And HV, Athelstone, Lutheran, Old Iggies and Hectorville aren't that far away!!
2 trips to the Port - Pt District and Portland which will probably be the quickest to get to

That only leaves Pembroke and Plympton as water bag trips..
