Totally shocked and sad. Hard to believe in fact.

Just one thing .... could I respectfully ask that this thread be moved to the SANFL Football board. Not sure how many people look at general discussion and I know Jackie would like this post on the football board.

Very saddened by this news.
She was one of my favourite posters on here. I think she showed great understanding for people, had a great sense of humour and wasn't aloof to the odd pisstake. When I think of Scots I think she just about sums up everything there is to like about that nationality's people. I feel she brought a whole new dimension to this board, we were lucky to have had someone with her experiences on here. Always made good reading.

OMG....
I'm finding this difficult to believe. Not only an advocate for the SANFL and her team but for the Game They Play in Heaven - Jackie you will be very sorely missed. I do so hope you didn't suffer my little rugby friend and my thoughts are with your family and friends who must be devastated. Rest peacefully.

Four years ago I went to Scotland for a conference and a bit of a holiday. I didn't get to JAS' neck of the woods, but she was more than obliging in giving info and advice on other parts of Scotland. Wish I'd gotten to thank her in person. May she RIP.
