this is quite amusing for the sake it makes little sense.
According to the rival forum Globe Derby on last sat night had entry at
$10 adults
$5 conc
under 12 free entry
so if you take a teenager aged between 13 and 17 who cant bet or drink, why are they charged full tote odds???
Absolutely brilliant administration. goes along with GRSA and the forum a number of years ago arguing free entry undermines the integrity of the sport!
Almost belongs in best jokes thread!

Would definatly turn off alot of families who would think about going but then have to pay $30 for two adults, two kids.
If my children were older there is no way i would spend $30 just on entry.
Combine that with the fact you cant take your own drinks in (which i can understand but dont like) its no wonder crowds there are almost non exsistent.
Can sit at home pay no entry fee, get a better view of the race, watch other sports that are also on the Saturday night, drink alot cheaper alcohol, while being able to get a bet on without leaving my couch or having to line up.

You certainly wouldn't go to Oakbank Easter carnival (at least you can take your own grog) or Adelaide Cup then.
