SA 50 overs 8/198

Hoddo 53 off 65
Smith 52 off 108
Atkins 37 off 17
Trianos 20 off 35

Probably just under par for the deck will have to bowl in good areas and in partnerships to get the job done here.

Another heart breaker today going down in the 49th over. As a bowling group I thought we bowled well but our fielding was shocking more so our ground fielding than anything which is obviously something we can control and didn't.

They had 2 young lads who batted fantastic and really showedus how to bat.

I don't have the book but the below figures are rough estimates

Holland 2/40ish off 10.1 (went off with a side strain)
Baldo 0/40ish off about 10 (hamstring and Elbow) 3 dropped catches off him
Pete 1/40odd off about 10ish
Spry 3/30-40 odd off about 13
McLeod 0/30 off off about 6

Like I said approximates but around the mark.

Here's hoping we show are true potential and come home 3-2. With All due respect to the last 2 carnival sides for us to be 1-2 after 3 days like we have the last 6 years just does t seem fair as I believe this is are best carnival side I've seen. . The reward for effort comes to mind we've worked are arses off to be in the position we are and to lose a game by 10 runs then a game in the last over just doesn't seem fair to this playing group and seriously doesn't give a true read of where were at as a group.

But at the end of the day the ladder tells the truth so here's hoping we come home 3-2.

Is there somewhere or someone who knows the 2 respective sides that you speak of that travelled away for comparison sake?

I suppose this proves that poo*terport isn't who you suspected then mate???? I wouldn't let a tool like him get to you big fella, we all know that you boys have been doing your best and have been unlucky in a few. There are so many people back home behind you and the rest of the squad, so lets hope you fight back against the bannana benders!!!!

SA 9/240

Great fight back lead by a great carnival 100 to Borgus (103) great way to finish a carnival and surely an all australian spot any 100 is a good innings but at this level that's a fantastic effort. Ash mcdonald again very solid with a nice 57 then some clean hitting late by Mistroni (35) to get us the 240 mark and after being 2/4 I couldn't of asked for much more.

Would done Hutchy. Its been great the ball by ball commentary. Some tight games that just havent swung our way i guess, but thats cricket.
Seems like it has been a very strong showing by SA and you should all be proud as punch for the great effort. A tonne and a 5/fa from some of the junior burgers is also encouraging.

Re: Pidge and the 3 jacks - he has tried that one before on me. Useless. Tell him he needs to empty his nuts too.

Good luck this game.
