wow, so it seems March 9th will be the first week of trial games! hard to think its only a shade over 2 months away! A bit of hard running ahead for players and then the boots will come out!

Do most clubs prefer to play teams in other Divs? and if so how high (or low) do you prefer to go with opposition?

Definitely prefer to play teams not in same Div. Generally play a club from one Div above or below.

Cricket semi-finals for PDCA which look like both CU & NP will feature prominently in, should make for an interesting trial game..

Unfotunately mate that time of the year its going to happen with easter and holidays before round 1 its a case of take who you can where and when you can. I still think both sides will get plenty out of the trial games.

I see it only fair that we play at Central United this time and hopefully help them make a few extra dollars over the bar. We will be looking at hosting a home trial game on either Friday 22nd or Thursday 28th so if anybody is looking for a trial game on either of those days please PM me.

Can't see all the hype with pre season/the need for trial games. Cricketers usually have a 4 week pre season max and probably never play practice matches against opposition.....

Personally I'd prefer to try out new players, current players in new positions, and U18's playing seniors - in a few trial games, rather than during the first 3 or 4 rounds. Each to their own I guess.

Cricket and footy mostly played on Saturdays. Thats about where the similarities end...
