I kept time on a former work mate :
10 minutes - 6 times a day = 1 hour a day.
1 hour a day = 5 hours per week
5 hours x 48 weeks = 240 hours
240 / 7.6 ( 7.6 hours the average working day ) = 31.5 days per year.
He never arrived earlier than me or left later. It pisses me off big time that smokers get away with it. If their addiction is that bad they should seek professional help.

At our work we can take one 10 minute break between 9:30am & 10am and then we can smoke during a half an hour break anywhere between noon & 1pm.
When I used to smoke this dude used to follow me outside and just sit down in our verandah area and then return once I walked back in. I questioned him one day and he said "We'll if you can excuse yourself from work for 10 minutes, so can I". Fair call.
Mind you, we get paid for 7.5 hours and I'm here from around 7am to 4:30pm and don't take lunch breaks, one of the higher managers told my manager to tell me to ease up on the net usage, she told them "no, you can if you if you think it's affecting his productivity", that was 4 years and about 12,000 posts ago.

You'd be fun to work with. Nothing worse than working with someone who is always worrying about what everyone else is doing. If you aren't his boss, then it's none of your own business.
Anyway, time for a smoke.

Very good fun to work with, I'd say. Doesn't take alot of effort mate to keep a track of someone doing that sort of thing, who knows, maybe the boss asked for my input on the matter?
As you'll note, the bloke no longer works here as he is a "former work mate".
Thanks for your 2c worth though.
