Duromine is a shortcut and the pitfall of that is falling into old habits once the cycle is over, that's about it really. Doesn't seem like Drago will have that problem though.

So why are people arguing with Cheeta about using it?

Because he's a muppet

Serious question here, how will Drago be changing his diet once he goes off the medication that is different to what he is eating now while on it?

cheetah said he's eating correctly so shouldn't have to change anything except the amount of calories as he losses weight.

Wow did not think this subject would go off like this. One thing i think we can all agree on is you need support from people 2 change your lifestyle. Dragos wife has been excellent cooking new meals, complimenting about weight loss and gently reminding him about diet. Plus mates support and pro help.

Absolute crap, Ive done it and I know several people that have done it with a bit of intestinal fortitude and determination with no support of other people. In fact I don't know anyone in a similar boat that actually needed support from anyone.

Drago is turning ones into twos, and twos into threes.
"Come for third" is now his catch cry
That and "I must break you"

Didnt ask anyone about exercises, work outs, weights? Didnt ask missus 2 help buy different foods or cook different foods? I find this a carp comment.

Nup, none of those, just used a bit of knowhow, common sense and determination as do most people I know that have done similar, you've got to realise I'm a Gen X, not a Gen Y who want everything delivered to them on a plate.

That may well be the cause of many health issues!

I think that what sometimes gets overlooked in this debate is that long term benefits for people who use duromine, personal trainers or train in dojos are only likely to be achieved when people use knowhow, common sense and determination on a long term basis. I don't see any harm in people using duromine to help them with this. It is prescription medication that you would hope is prescribed by doctors on the basis it is in the best interests of their patients.

Good post and that's the key point there. If the doctor weighs up the potentially horrific side effects and the dependency versus a patient's likelihood of survival being morbidly obese and makes the correct decision its all good. Unfortunately it is of a lot of people's opinion's that not all doctors do this competently.
If in a Doctor's opinion a patient is going to have a 90% chance of dying in the next ten years with their current obesity and that despite the side effects duromine can help that then its a useful tool.
If a patient has willpower, determination and a bit of knowhow can achieve similar results without the duromine then its a no brainer to do that.
If its taken purely for cosmetic/lifestyle purposes and doesn't make much difference to a patient's lifespan then it woud be incompetent to prescribe it.
