The pitch would have to be moved over a bit though. One side of that ground is not appropriate for regular senior cricket

The master plan for a possible Memorial complex redevelopment is currently under consultation and this could include the Pirie West oval. Of course none of this will happen unless the Feds or State give Pirie millions in election promises.

So it's 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 in the World Cup (first week of finals) 2 great games coming up.

Agreed, if an understrength SP can get the points against the bats it will be a boost before finals game 1. A bonus point win will westle back top spot.

There is no incentive to finish top as Risdonz found out last year with the drawn game against the bats.

 RND 20 stryers v props could be for the wooden spoon. I wonder how much strykers have improved if they get the spoon??? Can you still be the most improved and win the spoon? Solly gone from champs to chumps in 4 weeks? Germein one week Fluff makes no runs bowled out 23 , say no more. Props are full of kids. The top 4 in the world cup are the best sides by a long way.
Any thoughts????

For us to finish last I'd be pissed off honestly. But to go from being non competitive to beating SP, Risdon, Warnertown and Port G is something at least.

Most have appeared to forgiven Props demise due to them playing young. Strykers have improved a mile, no wins last season and often out for under 50. I think they have only failed to make 100 hundred once and they won that game. Sollies have dropped and appear to regularly struggle to field a team. Port Germein have improved ladderwise and have beaten top 4 sides (like Strykers). Risdon have dropped bur are still deadly with their best 11. Wandearah have improved as far as being a complete team. South Port have played without their best 11 quite often to varying results but have improved in experience. Warnertown have clearly been the best all year minus the ocassional brain fart.

I think this season has shown that 21 games is a long season and while upsets have occured sides like south port and warnertown in particular have shown an abliltiy to play good conistent cricket. Strykers have improved in my opinion but rely on too few with the bat and apart from quin have no bowlers able to tie up one end.

Sollies have no depth in mumbers at their club and it has killed them in the long season. While germein are a one-trick pony with the bat however young players find it harder to bat oin senior cricket rather than bowl i believe.

Risdonszz have struggled for numbers and consistency all season but are finally getting some decent sides on the park and are full of finals hardened cricketers. Their bowling is their major concen compared to the top teams

Wandies are the real most improved this season. Shows what an even contribution and stable mix of senior players and youth can achieve.

Sp and the bats look to be a step above atm. Powerful top orders and both have added fire power with the ball this season ie Merrett, Hill, Wallace. The season is heating up at the business end!!!!
