Good luck with that search - trainers are like hens teeth to find.

If you haven't already, maybe stick up a flyer at Uni SA at Mawson Lakes or in the city in the nursing/physio area's to get some interest.

A lot of PE/Human Movement/ Physio students need to do at least a year at a club and also love the extra $$.

Plan B - Beg and plead with Ange  However, I think you'll have better luck with plan A
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

we had 3 uni students come help with us last year and be taught by the best trainers around.....by the time round 4 came around 2 of them couldnt handle seeing some of the injuries (broken arm where the bone pushed through skin........ x3 knee inujuries x2 broken colarbones x1 shoulder that popped out and wouldnt go back in)

the last uni student lasted all year and was very nice and helpful she pops in from time to time and say hi.....

You cannot just travel in to Mawson Lakes without first asking the great Riddler for his approval.
It would be like performing an unsanctioned mob hit, you could find yourself in the boot of Riddler's car heading for a secluded northern beach!!

Good Head Trainers, are hard to find. Spoke to a number of clubs last year, and during the summer and nearly all look for good Head Trainers. Preferably with some degree of medical background, to look after some of the worst injuries, and be able to give players a jab if needed.

Clubs, are trying to poach all of the good Head Trainers, just like footballers/coaches and have done so for a number of years now. The good Head Trainers, are being poached with some good coin and have been for 20+ years, or so. Like footballers/coaches, must of the top clubs now look to the SANFL clubs, to recruit the very best Head Trainers. Have met a number of fantastic ones in the SAAFL, and just about all of them, have had extensive time at SANFL clubs. They have all been extremely good, at what they do. You can really tell the good ones, as soon as you watch them and listen.

All the top D1 and D2 clubs are attracting some top notch Head Trainers, but it is costing in excess of $5.000, and some are closer to $8,000/$10,000 for the really good, top notch ones.

Even those who just do strapping, rub downs, run water etc, etc, get really good renumeration at the top clubs around the SAAFL.

Got hold of a little lurk a few years ago to get girls/guys to do basic training, basic rub downs, strapping, run water on a Saturday and some work in the middle of the week for around $100 bucks a week. Great value and works well,

Some really good ones have been coming out of SANFL football into the D1 and D2 ranks, for years now. The trainers at SANFL clubs just don't want the time that they have to spend at league clubs. 4-5 nights a week and often a morning session, or two.

Even doctors in most cases are reluctant on giving injections, let alone trainers!

Id be carefully considering hiring a trainer if he/her was willing to inject players upon request, for reasons outlined above...
