I see that young Daniel Nobes has put in a clearance from Morphies to Hackham. Following in his Uncle's footsteps! The lad would only be 18 or so and has already played at Reynella, Porties and Morphies. Looks like the Hawks can be added to the list

Or did they invite out Body Science to promote their products? They openly advertise at these events that they comply with all WADA codes and guidelines.

Happy Valley have purchased a pallet full of electrolyte supplements is my mail.

Well there was Ben Rutten, Jason Porplyzia and Tait Silverlock there on Sunday, not sure if they got their signatures though :D .... Or could it be McNamara from Melbourne/South?

bingo

Handy "In"
Competition for spots in A grade will be fierce

McNamara was definitely training with Happy Valley on Wednesday night, so looks to be correct.

wow, just logged on and had a look - all one way traffic at Brighton, hopefully for them they have a stack of clearances to lodge for players actually joining the club!

Alexander, Baker, Norsworthy, Phillips, Rigney, Rogers have all left, but i'm sure they have some depth there to come in to the team and hold their own.
Yes all great players but I still don't think they will fall that far down the ladder.
Is the talk of King retiring still true?
Any other losses to add to that list?

You have a few outs too vics by the looks. Most sides seem to have more outs than ins at this stage.

Just had a look at Morphy Parks clearances, any chance a name change to the Glenelg old boys Moe? Murphy and Ruwoldt would be extremely handy at SFL level.

King is playing at Keith along with statham, I believe Harry is playing at victor but didn't really play much footy for us last yr anyway. The squad we have together now are keen and super fit and will win a lot more than people are expecting. We have A few solid trials coming up so looking forward to seeing how the younger players step up.

Vics is now affiliated with another club further south than Cove and their posts are no longer representative of the Cove Football Club. The OUTS are juniors linked with this club

Ex-Flaggies Forward Sam Smith kicked 7 goals in his first hit-out for sturt in an intra-club game.

Good luck to him

Who said there was a lot of crap happening at Brighton. Any club that wins a flag will generally have an exodus of players the next season or season after unless they keep winning them. The players that have left with the exception of Norsworthy and Rogers are all older than 30 or turning 30 this year. Yes some have left because of the coaches departure but several were a chance of leaving regardless or in the case of Kingy, he has been lured out of retirement for some extra coin than what he would ever get in the SFL. Don't get me wrong, all of these guys were quality blokes and quality players but we will move on and so will they.

If these guys didn't leave now they probably all would have retired on mass in a couple of years anyway and based on our season last year in which making the GF was probably a little flattering then maybe the departure of players now will be better for the clubs future than if it happened later, particularly if we had the same coach who likely would have stayed loyal to the lads who won him a flag.

We still have plenty of quality and plenty of blokes who would have already played regular A grade at our club in most other eras so they will get their chance now and I hope they surprise a lot of you closet experts.

I think you would be stupid to think Brighton will finish outside the 8, they have always had dept and I think they have won the last 5 B grade flags (is that right DTH). Some of those blokes in the B grade would play A's at any other club. I think they will drop back a bit but still have them in my top 6.

Have heard Brighton now have a capping system for their Sub juniors, 25 in each team and any extras are being sent to neighbouring clubs.

Thoughts on this? By neighbouring clubs does this meal SFL clubs or would they be pushed into the ametuer league?

good move in terms of at least it is enabling kids to be able to get a game rather than sitting on the sidelines watching.

But 25 seems pretty thin, if there is inhuries etc can they get their kids back from the clubs they were sent to?

I am a little confused by the SFL rule pertaining to junior football teams entered for Saturday and Sunday. Rule states must enter principal side on Saturday (as Below) and second side on Sunday. How is it that clubs can enter a principal side on Sunday but no Saturday side?? One club down the hill is not actually even trying to recruit for Saturday football, all advertising is about all games being played on Sunday. SFL needs to sort what the actual rules of the league are or clubs will continue to make a mockery of what made the league strong, a full day of football.

A. Member club/s who has two junior sides will abide by the following rules for the playing of football in the Saturday or Sunday competition.
B. Member club/s principal team will play in the main draw Saturday competition, and their secondary side will play in the Sunday competition.
C. Clubs after fulfilling point b. above may apply to the Southern Football League General Board to have a further team included in aged competitions.

PS TURBO,,

Don't you even try to understand, it is all above your level of football knowledge.
