Looks great in a West Coast guernsey.
But Franklin ain't going nowhere. I'd bet my neighbour's cat on it.

Suckling looks like he has done an ACL.

As good as his skills are he went missing in the big games last year. Still rather him available obviously. Would have liked to see him forward of centre, too often got found out defensively one on one (have I heard that somewhere before?)

Opens the door for Anderson/Hill/Guerra

Other's thoughts?

Ah you're joking, FFS. Suckling is one my favourite footballers behind Hodge and Heath Shaw, the blokes kicking is immaculate, don't like hearing he's gone down with a knee.

But yes have to agree MG, did go missing quite a bit last season and did get found out one on one a bit too. Now that Clinton Young has left the Hawks I would like to see move up the ground onto the wing for example, he could become very damaging on a wing if given time and space to pinpoint the Hawks leading forwards.

Suckling and Young are huge losses. They add the pace that Hawthorn need. not leg pace, but the pace through their elite kicking and 50m+ kicking is where hawthorn get their pace from IMO

Yep, spot on there CK. The Hawks strength over the past seasons has been their kicking and it'll be interesting to see how much it'll impact them losing Young to the Magpies and now Suckling through injury. The Hawks best 21 is very good and could win them another flag if up and about but how good is their depth if they happen lose players from their best 21 through injury? IMO the Hawks are not as strong depth wise as Collingwood and Sydney.

I said as much pre-season but I reckon the fork will be in the Pie this weekend. In other words, no Hawk on the Fork. ;)

I think your right REB, we are certainties this week however we need to win the flag this year as we wont be doing anything once Fantasia puts his imprint on the club

Played some good footy against the swans last night. Some kids like Anderson and Hill have added the much needed speed. Should be 9 - 1 and in line for a top 4 finish and another genuine shot at a flag.

Very good first half against the swannies. Good to see the Rough play well against a quality side.
