I think the "uncatchable" element officially applies to defensive pass interference calls not defensive holding.

Imagine what the replacement ref's would have done ... one would have called it, the other waved it off :D

X3.

I really, really should have had the day off and gone to the baseball club with beer, hot dogs and *ahem* entertainment.

It would have meant tomorrow off aswell though, I feel.

Missed a smashing day booney. Good numbers, great chilly dogs and even better entertainment

Atlanta's Tony Gonzalez (amid reports he was retiring at the end of last season) has decided to continue for another year.

The Bills finally released Ryan Fitzpatrick...probably not the best year to have no starting QB going into the Draft, unless they have their sights on Alex Smith if the trade to the Chiefs doesnt go ahead

I reckon Flynn will try go elsewhere from Seahawks.

He isn't having much luck being a starting QB

Is he contracted to Seattle still? If the Bills have to trade for him, im not sure they have anything the Seahawks need. Mario Williams maybe, but I cant see the Bills giving him up after paying so much for him to move from the Texans.

The Seahawks would probably like Flynn to stick around as a backup anyway

Couple weeks ago on twitter there was talk on teams after Flynn.
But I agree on hawks wanting to keep him around.

Im not too happy that Glover Quin is a free agent. Hes started for the Texans every game in the last 3 years, and his first year he played in 15 of 16. Looks like he could join the Detroit Lions. That could leave us a bit thin at Safety for next year.

Connor Barwin is also looking around and right now is in talks with Philly. He would be a loss, but we could probably cover him with guys like Brooks Reed and Whitney Mercilus. Brian Cushing coming back from injury would also help us in the Linebacker department.

St. Louis RB Sean Jackson has agreed to a 3 year deal with Atlanta as part of the NFL's free agency.

Good pick up for the falcons, according to atlanta's twitter account, Jackson has accumulated over 1,000 rushing yards in each of the past 4 seasons and has been selected for 2 NFC pro bowl teams since his debut in 2005.

*Steven Jackson ;)

Thats a big pick up for the Falcons. He made a good decision leaving the Rams. I dont see much success coming their way in the near future. And the Falcons COULD be at the beginning of a good few years pushing the top teams.

I didnt follow them very closely last season, but how was their running game? Or did Matt Ryan pretty much throw the whole time?

AWWW Yeaaahhh!! Texans making a big move for Ed Reed!! :D

Flew him in on the owners private jet and treating him like a king. Hopefully he signs coz we need all the help we can get back there. As soon as opposition teams realised we had nothing defending the long throws, we were as good as beat.

Not stoked that Glover Quins more than likely gone, but if we get Reed instead, Id be happy with that! :D

Haha Steven Jackson, who knows where I got the name Sean from, given I was typing with my phone in front of me

Anyway, in answer to your question HH3...Atlanta were very much an alternating team. Ryan was more than happy to incorporate a passing play, given he had Roddy White, Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez as intended targets. Rushing was also popular, with alot of our plays using the now departed Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers. Jackson will obviously be an upgrade from Turner. Given that we have a great passing set up and a better rushing team, hopefully it gives Ryan greater offensive flexibility. Im still hoping we improve the defensive team. Atlanta has never had a problem putting scores on the board, but its the rate of opposition scoring (no more evident in the conference game against seattle and the divisional game against SF) that is most concerning.

A lot of teams are doing that targeting big free agents , all expenses paid.
Tampa did that to Goldson, Wallace with Miami.
