I'm pretty certain Echunga will be up there again come the end of the year.
They have picked up some experienced guys as well as Josh Newnham who can play plenty of different spots for the Demons.
I don't think they will lose as many as everyone expects.
My guess is they will be playing the Brookers in the GF again.

Are you and Josh having a contest to see who can collect the most club shirts? ;)

Can anyone shed any light on what sort of player Brenton Reid from Gumeracha is? I hear he has received some big offers from a few Hills clubs.

Simple ploy from the mallee park FC I believe; apparently they deny every players clearance to anywhere forcing the boys to call them personally in hope of getting them back to Lincoln from all over the state
What does the u/21 mean beside the obvious?

Called in to see what the Echunga Club crisis was all about .... A good standard game with players from both teams going in hard which was a credit to the clubs. Ramblers kicked away in the 1st qtr to lead by 4 Gls but Echunga pegged this back throughout the game to lose by a couple goals.. Plenty of familiar faces still playing for the Dees with the players really responding for coach Lachy Fleet.

I think your going to be right on the money with your call on the 2013 BIG DANCE Panther32!
But i think spots from 6th to 3rd will be a real logjam/fight from round 1 to september action and one to really watch :D
Which will be great for the HFL Country Div,and result in far less blow outs than in previous seasons =D>
Good luck to all teams.

Sniper, mate of mine is playing against the roosters in a trial next week, said he would like to grade the Impact Umpire and Mad Dog.

I am assuming you mean the Kavanagh brothers. Steve has played mainly B grade for Mypo for the last couple of years. From what I have seen he will be servicable player for gums but cant see him dominating. Always good to get zero pointers back though.

Cheers to the Macclesfield FC. Beautiful oval. Great first run for our boys and a game in great spirits, both side will get a bit from today and am sure will have ins to come in closer to the season. Witnessed a great soccer goal. A beauty!! For such a long way it served its purpose indeed! Cheers

Was a decent hitout yesterday, awsome to finally get back into it! A grade wise Macclesfield looked alright, had 2-3 decent key forwards that provided strong targets for them. Their CHF was plucking pretty much eveything that came his way. Pretty sure Macclesfield got up by around 3 goals in the end and that was probably the biggest differance between the two sides as we didn't really have any key forwards up front, still having 5-6 senior blokes to come into our side. The rest of the contest was pretty even, they were a little cleaner than us earlier in the game as it took us a little while to get into the swing of things.

Thanks to Macclesfield for the hitout and good luck for the season ahead.

Did Echunga find out about all the coaching posts Bassani applied for this season and sack him? Virginia was definitely one of them but he missed out.

No I think Fleet is just regarded as simply a better bloke and coach than the last one.

let’s hope Fleet has more in his bag of tricks than Basani when it comes to crunch time in a final… relied on emotion not tactics to try and get the boys over the line at 3 qtr time in the GF

Bassani is still coach, just couldn't make the trial match due to other commitments.

B-Grade coach Nick Cook coached Echunga friday night. Bassani had a Baseball GF i think. Lachy Fleet assisted from the side line and spoke to the group for about 30 secs at qtr time. Hope this clears it up. The first comment about coach Fleet looked very "tongue in cheek".
