Already hating the new rule where you cannot dive on the footy and even make the slightest contact with another player.

Yeah, there was at least 2 of these decisions paid last night. The rule just doesn't seem 'natural' to the instincts of Aussie Rules...

The one against Ryan Anderson in front of the old scoreboard was a shocker. Free kick by the law but he was the only one who wanted the ball and got pinged

Dutschke was done like that against South, two blokes standing around watching the ball, he threw himself at it and got pinged.

The AFL has to realise no matter what rules they bring in as long as its a contact sport there will be unintentional contact injuries, even some serious ones

When you penalise the man going for the ball ( what we teach kids from the cradle ) then the game is rooted !
Why don't we have a group of players standing around the ball debating who should risk going for the ball ?
We catagorised players like Ebert, Robran, McIntosh, Platten, Naley etc as ball players. What will we call the next generation ? Ball watchers ?

Cant understand why you kick across the ground when you are kicking with a 6 goal wind?? How about to wards the forward line.
Big improvement required already

Why are they not playing with the lowest finishing Ressies team from 2012 if the SANFL is to be consistent in rules given West has a "bye"?

Because it's Season 2013 and I doubt any rule covers player availability during the preseason trial games.

Only hysterical paranoia will create an issue out of it.

So when North have a bye round 1 and Port Power decide they want some game time into their listed player e.g. Blee - who will he play for then given the season proper hasn't started and under your thinking 2012 no longer counts?

Personally I'll be happy for him to play at the Magpies. But should that answer not satisfy you, feel free to follow Booney's advice and ring the SANFL

It was incorrectly used in the Port v North trial, should just be for the more forceful ones that can lead to an I jury, not just if there is the slightest contact

This one is the sanfls fault with how they are officiating it, completely different to how the afl are.

Or you could just look at it as other SANFL teams won't have to have one f their players missing out on a game because two afl players who they won't see again get the spot instead.

Personal Opinion, serously who gives a fats rats clacker where two Port AFL players play a trial tomorow night? Good for my blokes to get a run against some quality opposition. I would be keen to see some of our younger blokes line up those two for education purposes. If it was a normal round I can undertand the concern but trial games??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
