Danny had an excellent technique and had a good understanding of the game but would sometimes over police and end up becoming very noticable. Danny was with the PLFL in the late seventies and through the eighties and in my book one of the reasons why aussie rules is such a great game, he was a character who put life into the game.

so you like an ump with influence then JJ, didn't think they were supposed to be part of the game?? That's what the players are there for.

I will fill you in bystander once in an u/17 game that D Morphett was officiating in i was awarded a free kick for a push in the back at the back pocket and then proceeded to milk four 25m penalties in a row by running in to the man standing the mark and falling over and as danny kept blowing his whistle and running backwards i kept up the charade untill i was in reach of the goals and posted one of my few full pointers definitely a character and a well known umpire amongst Port Lincoln locals and old farts like myself..................

Biggles might be a good idea to give bystander a run in the A grade for the rest of the cricket season. With your footy comeback a goer and bystander having a run in the middle this season it could win you a few free kicks!!!!!!!!

B graders might prefer you play A's after the weekend. Selectors!!!!! WTF Your A grade picks itself at the minute. I'm sure Ash and Biggles could squeeze you in for a fee.

He umpired our game on the weekend, did a good job and was in a was in a fine mental state so im sure it may have been blown apart bigger than the situation was...like everything!

My mail must be off TRR. He is trying a line on my sister in law at the moment. Won't be happy about having a waybacker hanging around the family!
