They copied Perth Glory.......seemed like a good idea at the time ;)



The 2 Fremantle's in the WAFL are Red & White (South) and Blue & White (East) so I still don't know how the heck they arrived at purple :shock:

Fremantle enter the AFL in 1995.

Perth Glory enter NSL in 1996/1997

I thought the original colours were red, green, purple, and white, with the other colours spaced around a central white anchor, on the original guernsey.
That choice weighed them down for a long time, but they've been adrift since they cut the anchor loose.
