Interesting article in the 'Tiser today - Page 120 re a Crows Reserve Team.

Another "journalistic" push by the Crows to impose what they want as part of their proposal whilst saying at the same time "it will benefit the SANFL" - Bollocks Chapman, you are talking shit with yourself self centred needs! Keep your nose out of the SANFL and sort out your "cheats" at AAMI and go play your reserves somehere else. Reading what he suggests then even a stand alone Crows reserves side playing in either the League or Ressies comp would need top up players from current SANFL lists according to one of Chapmans "flawed" proposals! What a joke!

At least on 5AA this morning when discussing the article, Rucci and Dillon were very strong in their comments about no AFL Reserves teams in the SANFL even to the point of not even wanting them in the Reserves Comp!

Dillon called for SANFL supporters to unite and be very vocal in protesting against any move for SANFL Reserves. Well called Kym!

There's a broad statement. I saw not one incident, either on the Hill or at Coopers Corner.

It's the opposite to a broad statement. It was quite specific.

No, specific would be giving details of what happened, where, when, and so on. Instead, he decided to take a broad pot shot at a group of supporters with nothing to support his claim

Group of half a dozen knobs up near the Northern goals. A couple of kids booed Ports first goal in the 3rd quarter and one meathead told the kids he would ram the kids scarfe up his arse. A couple of adults told him to pull his head in and then his boofhead mates started making threats and saying they would see them after the game. An elderley Port man even told them to settle down and he was told to f**k off.
Found it funny that these bad arses were nowhere to be found in the last quarter.
The rest of the crowd banter was in good spirits for the night, all clubs have wanker supporters even us.
Was just hitting back at kickinit who seems to have an issue with Centrals, can honestly say that ive never felt threatened at a game against the Dogs day or night

He said 'some', twice. That narrows it substantially.

so your saying if the eagles where playing before the Brisbane against port or crows you wouldn't want to see them play?

If all the dice fell for me I would be lucky.....but the above situation would probably only suit me.

The last Eagles curtain raiser against Norwood in 98 before a Port v Bulldogs game - the atmosphere was terrible.
It would be a bit harsh following your SANFL team against a side with an advantage of 30,000 people following them

In 99 the Eagles were scheduled to play the magpies before a Power game - thankfully the SANFL saw this as unfair and moved it to Alberton Oval as an Eagles home game

Why would he go, the only time I'd even consider seeing North V the Cows or Powder Puffs in a curtain raiser would be if they were playing Essendon or if the game was included as part of my North membership, buggered if I am going to pay AFL prices to watch my team play!

That's exactly my point

The beauty of the SANFL is good quality footy at decent prices.....where people don't have to wear garbage bags to avoid the rain.

i've seen more centrals supporters kicked out of games then every other club put together. Don't try make out centrals are saints they are known for having the most feral supporters in the league. What was it 2-3 years ago when they had to have police assigned to watch the cheer squad.
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

Few getting OT here.
Surprised to hear Rucci supporting SANFL's integrity.
Great that someone of Dillon's standing becoming vocal about this issue.
Crows' whole selfish argument has more holes than an Aero bar to the point where it is embarrassing listening to it.
Start ringing in to these radio shows everyone and let your voices be heard!!!!

Well KT is saying that the Magpies will be preserved no matter what happens with an AFL Rserves Team for the Power. Just supposing the SANFL tells both AFL clubs to take their Ressies sides elsewhere other than the SANFL where does that leave them and the AFL?

- Do they attempt to join the VFL? That will cost both clubs big $$$ and where will top up players come from? If that scenario panned out there is no way that the PAFC could / should support two senior teams as well as the Magpie set up (League/ Ressies / 18's and 16's).
- Does the AFL step in and organise a proper Reserves comp but again a massive cost $$$ and also difficult logisitically. Couldn't see the AFL allowing the PAFC to keep fielding the Magpies under that scenario given the $1.3 million allocated presently by the PAFC to fund the Port Magpies.

I don't care what happens with this issue except I don't want it to destroy our comp or it's integrity so AFL Reserves Teams cannot play in our comp - simple as that.

I would rather see us gone then have see us play as a reserves side, even if it stays as the magpies. If we do become the Poiwers reserves get rid of the Magpies all together and play as the Power.

Exactly, there are some true Magpie fans out there who could really be hurt by this.
Glad it's not my club.
