Canes get trashed by the Lightning for the third time this season.
Coach Muller happy with the teams effort....WTF...they were dreadful.
Now a pitiful 3-7-0 against the SE division.

Winnipeg knock off the Leafs in a SO to take over top spot in the Division.

Blue Jackets win against Phoenix to make it 10 games without a regulation loss.

Lets hope the Caps win the 2 games in Winnipeg.

Canes let another game slip losing to NYR in a shootouts.
We don't do penalty kills or shootouts at all well.

On to Flo Rida tomorrow.

Penguins win their 13th straight game, on fire at the moment.
Be nice to get Malkin back from injury.
Lets hope they continue this form in the playoffs, because as we have seen previously the
NHL playoffs are very unpredictable.

Just watched a bit of the Yotes v Preds, Yotes were 6-3 up after 16 minutes
Both sides found their defensive game after that and it ended 7-4.
Canes were 3-2 up in the last against the Leafs but conceded 4 in the last 8 minutes.

Caps beat the Sabres 4-3 after a SO
Came from 2 goals down in the last to tie it at 3-3 with 40 seconds remaining.
Other games went our way aswell, Canes defeating the Jets has really tightened up the Division.
Only 14 games remaining, we will probably need to win 10 to make playoffs, big ask but still alive, just

Caps went down 5-4 in OT to probably our most despised rivals the Flyers.
Had a 4-2 lead in the last but got sloppy and conceded an equaliser with 9 seconds remaining.
Still picked up a point but its probably not going to be enough, Canes away on Wednesday in a must win

Caps beat the Canes 5-3 after trailing 2-0.
Ovechkin scored a double and has now scored in 8 consecutive games.
Now only 2 points behind the Jets with 2 games in hand but next up is our bogey side. Reckon I could count on 1 hand the ammount of times we have beaten the Isles in the last 10 years, they just always seem to beat us

Penguins winning streak is over at 15 after losing to Sabres.
Crosby broke his Jaw the other night and is out indefinitely which is a worry going forward.
Hopefully he will be back sometime during the playoffs

Caps beat the Isles 2-1 after a SO
Conceded a late goal to take it to OT, Ovechkin scored the only goal in the SO, Holtby made 2 good saves in the SO.
Have now reached .500 for the first time this season and amazingly with results going our way we are to of the div.
Jets and Canes have dipped in form lately but still only 8 points between top and bottom in the SE div, the Bolts are hitting some good form and we play them twice in our last 10 games

Caps hold on to beat the Cats 4-3, led 4-0 at end of second period thanks to an Ovechkin hat trick.
Conceded 3 late goals and barely held on at the end.
Top of the division at the moment and had some very good results go our way with nearly all of out division rivals beaten today.
Bolts at home tomorrow with a chance to extend our lead at the top

Bruins blow a huge chance to take the lead in the North east division. Coach Claude Julian is not impressed.

Caps beat the Bolts 4-2 with another double from the Great 8
Now 2 points clear of the Jets with a game in hand.
Under 10 games remain in the regular season, the Jets have some very winnable games coming up so I can see the race coming right down to the end

Eric Wellwood of the AHL's Adirondack Phantoms is currently in hospital recovering from surgery after suffering a gruesome skate cut Sunday afternoon versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Wellwood fell into the boards, somehow slicing his lower right leg with his left skate.

Caps beat the Habs 3-2 on the road. Still got the Jets on our tail, need to keep winning , think it will only be the div winner from the SE that makes it.

Caps beat the Canes 3-1 to extend the winning streak.
Far from a comfortable victory, trailed 1-0 and then only led 2-1 with 5 seconds to go and Brouwer put the sealer into an empty net.
Holtby had to make 43 saves, very lucky to get out of that one.
Looks like a straight shoot out between us and the Jets for the Division now, Bolts, Cats and Canes look to be too far back now

7 in a row for the Caps
Beat the Bolts 6-5, Tampa gave us a big scare today, we led 4-0 at end of 1st and 5-1 midway through the 2nd. Bolts hit back to tie it at 5-5 and send it to OT, Mike Green with the winner in OT.
4 points clear of the Jets with 6 to go, play them in a few days time in what could be the decider in who wins the division
