make the juniors play at Unley, they don't generate any income anyway.

They play there every 2nd week and add a couple hundred $ when they do.

I know Norwood wont want to 'share' their home ground but it may be in the SANFL's best interest to have the Norwood and Sturts League/Reserves play at the Parade and Norwood/Sturts juniors play at Unley.

Would be a huge decision for Norwood to make and it would be a very selfless act.

In the near future we will lose the Magpies, West are on the brink, there is no way in hell the SANFL could survive with Sturt folding.

If Sturt did move to Mount Barker and it was a failure that would be the death of them. This maybe the safest and simplest option.

You couldnt blame Norwood though if they were 100% against the idea.

I think the Sturt Cricket Club will relocate there and the bowls club will become a social venue (community club).

If I'm a member of Somerton Park Bowls Club, will I be able to purchase beer there?

Why not? I understand that the club has had installed by the council a disabled toilet facility to the tune of $32k. Would you do that for a club with only 30 members?

Norwood could play juniour grades in the Golden Grove area.
If Sturt played at Norwood surely it would be just A and B Grades on the day/night.
Best option is to try it and see if it helps Sturt then make it permanent IF it does help.
Agree we can not allow Sturt to fold .... or any club.
All clubs have had crisis times we just have to help out when a club is in the shit. My club was almost gone a few years back so we all face it.

Sounds good, the council and Sturt club appear to be cooperating for the good of the community. Sturt are pretty adamant about staying at Unley also. Once these hurdles are cleared, Unley would be the best place to call home.

Have Sturt considered playing at Wayville? Not far from Unley oval, plenty of parking. Not sure of the surface or lighting but thought I would throw it out there!!!!
