Best thing I saw about havens in both grades was there focus on the footy at all costs. When you play Elizabeth you know you'll get a physical encounter and we expected that, but for the lads to just put there heads over it and work their tails off...a really great sign

I was at the Glenunga game on the weekend and was a bit shocked to see them get up over Adelaide Lutheran! Talking to a few of the Glenunga supporters and they say there is still 5 of their starting 18 to come back in, they maybe a surprise package this year and shock a few of the top teams.

I was very surprised to see Glenunga get up by a five goal margin, credit to them. Also very surprised at Lutheran being 0-2 at the moment.

A great day at Webb oval on the weekend with both grades being great contests. Was great to see almost every Lutheran player in the club rooms after the match for a beverage. Will be sure to return the favour next time round. Good luck to Ty and the boys for the rest of the season. I'm sure despite their start they will still go deep in September.

Yep, Ledger Road. C's start at 10.15, B's at 12.15 and A's at 2.15 (I believe those are the times, but might be a little off if they do the Last Post or something like that).

I think you will find that Brahman Lodge are playing a triple header and are starting C grade earlier than 12.
I think EM had said on here that there is now rule to say they cant start before 12?

Nah,there are laws but they don't apply unless you're charging an admission fee amongst other things - i took him to task on it. It's more a moral thing.

Definitely a moral thing. Although, in some respects I wonder if that's a bit outdated these days. As I understand it, the midday thing isn't about respect for the Diggers, that is shown at services etc through the morning (which I attend religiously), it's about allowing people to go to the parade - however, the parade doesn't play as important a role in as many people's lives any more. It's a curly debate.

I think the 12noon thing has now changed to allow the diggers plenty of time to catch up with people at the RSL breakfast they attend and then not having to rush to the sport event they want to attend on the day.

The old boys are not getting any younger and getting around the place is getting harder every year.
