Caps lost 3-1 to the Sens but then towelled up the Habs 5-1 to split their Canadian road trip.
Finish with 3 games at home with a 3 point lead over the Jets who visit on Tuesday. A win will seal the Division for us.
Ovechkin's double against the Habs took him to 30 goals this season and is the 8th consecutive season he has passed the 30 goal mark, in this years shortened season its a pretty good feat

And the Newcastle North Stars defeated the Sydney Ice Dogs 6-2.

Yes and no we are playing up and down win one and lose one. we have lighting, caps and sens to finish off. 2 at home 1 away we should get 5 points with luck.

Caps beat the Bruins 3-2 in OT after trailing 2-0 in the 3rd
Bruins now 1 point behind the Habs in the race for the NE.
Bruins play the Sens tomorrow in their postponed match to decide the Division.
Red Wings made their 22nd consecutive finals.
Down to the Wild and Jackets for the last spot, Columbus has just won and the Wild lead midway into 3rd

Wild claim the last playoff spot in the West.
Only 1 game left in regular season and that is Ottawa @ Boston tomorrow in the postponed game.
Huge game, Boston can win the Div and grab Number 2 seed or lose and get the Number 4 seed.
Ottawa win will get them 6 seed whilst a loss keeps them as 8 seed
