after a recent visit to adelaide -


Whose bright idea was it to build a shopping centre around a gum tree, which is now dead? Burnside shopping centre i am meaning....

i agree, for cost of living, public transport (have no idea as i dont use it), personal safety (as the survey says) that brisbane is poor in these areas. I never said we werent.

I think we need to be more worried that New Zealand cities are voted better then all australian cities. Friggen kiwis!! :roll:

stupid!. Went in there, and they have ropes or straps now holding up the branches, and big nets so that when the trree eventually falls down, it doesnt hit anyone. Still, i was taking photos of it, and basically got booted outa there.... At least build a section, if the tree must stay, thats open to the fresh air and sunlight, not closed in. hence the reason the tree is dead!

no, maybe if the tree was built with some open air, not enclosed in a shopping centre, it would survive. Now the poor tree, which was not allowed to be removed, is dead....

Did you stop in at the Maritime Museum at the Port? Or the Railway museum or Aviation museum? All in the Port Adelaide area.

no it wasnt, but i never said the lighthouse was the only thing i could do or did
the others werent much better either, i vsisited them myself when i was younger, and they are still the same basically also. but wasnt expecting a lot of changes anyway in a muesum, they dont change much
