SCD PREVIEW

Postby SCD » Sat May 26, 2007 1:03 am

I hopefully will come home from the telstra dome in a good mood and looking forward to having a good bet after watching the crows win!!

R1 - 4 e/w special (the stable MAL!!) from all except 5.... open race past the 4...
R2 - 7 e/w special from 1,5,6,8
R3 - 5,8,9 look the main ones.. if 5 leads.. should probably win from 1,2,7
R4 - 1 e/w special (if it hands up to 2 straight away) from 2,3,4,8,10
R5 - 8 (another from the stable MAL) another one I like for the night from 6,7,9,10,11
R6 - the scratching of the fav makes it hard.. i'd go with 4,5,7,9,10
R7 - 5,6,8 on top from 2,3,7,9,10
R8 - 4 and 8 look the only winning hopes from 1,2,3,6,7
R9 - 8 e/w special from 2,6,7,9,10
R10 - 9 and 10 the main ones from 4,5,7

Suggested Bets
R1 - 4 e/w
R2 - 7 e/w
R4 - 1 e/w
R5 - 8 e/w
R9 - 8 e/w

Betfair Specials (2 horses that Jimmy has picked, so a chance they will be under the odds and I think are a risk!)
R4 - 10 good win last start, but harder here and may just struggle...
R5 - 9 tougher in this race, won't get it all it's own way....

BAYMAN puts up the white flag
SCD wants to do a MAL and cheat
Guess I will have to provide a rare preview at short notice
I will give my pick4 selections in order

RACE1
2 LETS GO FRANKIE looks the leader , sure to go well if does
4 SHES LADY DILLINGER mildura winner and the unpredictable MATSON in the cart...hmn...
1 GUNBARREL STRAIGHT non winner but drawn to be in the finish...is tonight the night
9 LETS SPARKLE tough horse and racing well

RACE 2
7 ZED should follow the leader out and get a nice sit, go very close MALPET
1 STEP OUT IN STYLE drawn to lead and be very competitive
6 PERFECT BONUS poor draw but in the equation if finds a spot
8 JONNY DOIKA 2nd to Perfect Bonus last run was ok

RACE3
9 ANVILS JUST FINE there looks a speed burn early and can bide its time, top chance
4 NICKY ANVIL could be big odds on recent form, but at last a draw, can improve
1 IONTHEBALL a late whisper by Adios Anthony last week and flassssssshed home , can figure
5 BROTHER MOON a favourite of mine , but this draw stinks, will need luck

RACE4
10 BAD BOY NITRO was hit harder than a high school headmaster last week + 2nd up here, but a top aniMAL
1 WELL THATS LIFE stablemate to BBN hmn....from this draw leader or 3rd on rail
2 VIRGINIA FLIGHT if leads will be hard to beat against the stablemates 10+1 hmn...
4 PICATIME runs a few placings and might snare a place in this

RACE5
9 URJOKIN this MALPET is starring + going for 8 in a row with S JONES in the cart, why not again
8 FLORIAN BABE excellent vic bush runs at Shep recently, big big danger to the champ
11 UNIQUE BALE poor draw, needs to bludge and one sprint only
10 HEEZA HUDSON dead set leader and draw against

RACE6
4 WRECKOGNIZE most consistent trooter in SA, and with the handicaps can cause the upset
12 APACHE BLUE JEAN remarkable trotter but the 40m scares me, a risk if odds on
7 TONYS TROTTER nice 3rd to SH last run, could be in this at odds
10 COMET SOHO good trotter in this if gets the breaks

RACE7
5 COGLEN from Vic 1st up in SA, M Webster in the sulky and trialling well, keep safe
6 SHELBY SHANNON consistent must be considered
10 BORN TO GROOVE recent pirie winner, has claims if gets the breaks
8 LA BELLA MAFIA might improve

RACE8
8 SAME ACTION nice win 14/5 at GDP best horse and hard to go past here
4 ART FOR THE HEART go on good PP win last run
2 SHAZZA still a maiden but runs some handy races
10 AMBROS HOPE draw against will need luck

RACE9
6 THE STORM placed behind the mighty The Juggmalnault last week, would be a good thing, but box 6 ?
2 THE DALMATION looks the leader and 1800m suits
8 NUTFIELD runs on well and definite claims[ famous horsewas Simon Jones 1st winning drive]
9 NO DOGS ALLOWED handy 4th last run, pay to keep very safe if improves on that

RACE10
9 SWEET CHILLI has a sharp short sizzling sprint, will need room and luck , top chance
7 GLITZ GIRL consistent type, chance with a cheap run
10 YOUNG ANGUS vic horse ???? R Hryhorec in the chair, keep safe
4 LOCOMOTO go on handy 2nd 2 runs ago at GDP

HARNESS HARP
-------------------

PROTEST UPHELD
---------------------

JJ and MAL had a vigourous discussion on who would beat who home last night
MAL = THE JUGGERmalNAUT
JJ = LITTLE DREAMER
On perusing the race I ended up agreeing that JJ was right LD had to be favoured.
LITTLE DREAMER found the front and was challenged by TJUG at about the 400m
The 2 drew away from the field and in a titanic finish over the line LD held off TJ
About 75m from the post the 2 gallant pacers came into contact with each other.
David HARDING on LD catapulted himself in the cart and made it appear worse
then what the contact was.
I personally thought that LD was holding TJ on the line and in fact didnt bother
waiting for the impending result.
Not only is HARDING a champion driver, but it appears he has an acting future as well !!!!
The stewards awarded the race to TJ
I have talked and listened to a few trots followers who said the protest should have been dismissed

And just for the record JJ I backed you guessed it ....the 2nd horse

R4-10 MOSQUITO GOLD
----------------------------

Raced at interstate during the week and is a scratching for tonights meeting
Coincidently drew the 10 gate
Was scratched one other time as well when drew badly
hmn
Some good judges seem to think had the horse drawn a good gate it would have raced
hmn

ELYSEES CREST
------------------

Won the vic breeders $100,000 race last night at Mooney Valley
This same horse was beaten by Malpet INDICATIVE recently when INDICATIVE
was having its 3rd run in a week and travelled for VI to SA as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRST 4
--------

On races 1-2-3-4-5 tonight at GDP
Why not races 6-7-8-9-10
They have F4 on every race at AP doggies.

SIMON JONES
----------------

A match from heavan URJOKIN driven by Simon simmo hound JONES
Is a young drivers event in race 5
JONES is the best driver, lets hope the others dont get in his way

G SILKE
----------
This is about the 5th or 6th running of the G SILKE Plate RACE 5
Percy gone but never ever forgotten [ if theres a bookie up there get on Simmo]

feeling a bit better so here is a brief one

r1 1 looks a good place bet,2,3,7,9,10 (if there is any (big) money for 4 then follow it as this is a big punting stable)
r2 chances 1,6,7,8 & 5 some chance if found the front (& it could)
r3 chances 2,3,4,8,9 best two 8,9 but i like 3 e/w or place it was a very good run last start
r4 chances 1,2,4,8,10
r5 9,11 clearly the two class horses of the field, for multis 1,3,7,8,10
r6 chances 2,4,5,10
r7 chances 5 on top from 6,7,8
r8 chances 2,4,8,10 & a watch on 1
r9 8 looks close to a good thing from 2,6,7,10
r10 7,9 on top from 1,3,4 & a watch on 10

suggested bet(s)
r1 no 1 place
r3 no 3 e/w
r9 no 8 e/w (if you can get e/w odds)

betfair lay
anything real short
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

dutchy, it looked like that (i backed it place as well) perhaps the horse wasn't going well enough anyway but i do agree you should drive them out unless something is obviously wrong i also (only watching it live at this stage) thought she ran out of room but cant work out why, i'll update when i've seen the replay etc
