Talking to the north pines blokes seems money talks in the southern leagues,
better players got offers to good to refuse. Maybe they are replacing all the
Mitchell Park recruits.
Hahaha, no money at the den panthers. Just players who play for the jumper.

Not rude at all Yankman. If you want to come and watch some games maybe you could fill me in with what wrong haha. In all seriousness though far from happy with our performances thus far but haven't been able to field a full strength team so far and probably won't for a few more weeks.
We lost some quality over the off-season and some of it unexpected and closer to the season after players said they were staying. We lost our BnF winner Chris Stephens back to Ports up at Pirie, Willie Sansbury to Gaza, Derek Newchurch to Aldinga (I think it was), Damian Rigney is not playing this season, Daniel Karpany has not been seen or heard from, Andrew Lindsay is having the season off, Steve Marks last years captain is having the year off, Jayden Newchurch went back to Gaza, Shane Bowman hurt his knee playing cricket and may miss the entire season, Mal McPhedran retired, Brenton Wilson has not been seen or heard of and Corey Fairhurst has an injury that may keep him out for the season. All these players were start up A graders we lost. Add to that our captain Todd Mackereth has torn his groin and will be missing for another 4-5 weeks. We have recruited some handy footballers in Ben Barnse, Shannon Wanganeen & Dale Mclean to name a couple but unfortunately we have been hit with some bad injury luck and/or work commitments stopping us from fielding a full strength team. Only pleasing thing so far has been to see the development of 3-4 young B graders from last year who have made the step up to A grade football.

Was good to see Henley get a win on the board for the first time this year after getting pumped by a few A grade sides. Probably should have won by a lot more, but kicked very poorly. They had a few more players who were up to the standard of D7 thanks to some players returning from injury in the higher grades.
First time I've been to Broadview and thought it was a good oval to play footy on.
On a final note, I thought it was a pretty poor effort by Broadview's A and B grade, in terms of their lack of attendance. Broadview were outnumbered by Henley support at their own home ground (which ain't exactly around the corner from Henley).

Good on him. Shame it's a Saturday game and we've got our own commitments

Rexy is going to be in a conundrum!

No conundrum here, I have my football commitments on Saturday, so I'll record the game on ABC.
Well done to Liam, we all know he is a great talent, but talent isn't enough to make it, he has work his ass off to get his opportunity tomorrow, and I am sure he will take it with both hands.
