Matty Roller umpired the last game and im led to believe uncle Terry taught him every thing he needed to know about umpiring , well done Matty

Well pass my congratulations onto Uncle Terry...or is that now Grandpa Terry ;)

some great umpiring Satday HH3 from both lads. players these days play for everything in the book...once they know that it wont be tollerated and that its a mans game I think players stop worrying about frees and start worrying about footy. I think Haven umpire made 4 calls all game and im lead to believe it was 2 each way. And there was no real whinging from either side

NH A grade up by 17 points today. Down by 2 goals at three quarter and after a big spray from Thorno we stood up, showed some great character and were able to run over the top of WC and got the 2 points!! Awesome win!!

Unsure of the margin in the B's but we won easily.

Today we had 4 wins from the 4 grades, great effort. C's and D's both smashed Brahma Lodge.

Saw an interesting contest at Fitzroy yesterday.

First up, Fitzroy were too good, and you can only beat who you play, which they did comfortably. But (what a surprise) it was being bantered around quite readily that Glenunga had about 7 good players unavailable for the contest.

Fitzroy of course seem dismissive of this fact and confident it made little difference. Glenunga of course throwing it up as "The Reason" for defeat, and of course confident they are the better side. I found both levels of confidence surprising. Fact is Fitzroy had 21 players who were better than Glenunga's yesterday.

Clearly Fitzroy are more up and about and I'll be interested to see the season play out, The Rams don't want to leave their run too late!

So Glenunga were admitting defeat at the beginning, or were the injuries only the excuses after the game?

surprised to see Luthies at 2-3,have they lost players or injuries a problem??
West Croydon seem to be in a little trouble also, the loss of Bryant and loffler may be too hard to cover???

From what I hear yesterday they were stiff not to win after being up by 5 goals @ 3/4 time. Innacurate kicking didn't help Kenilworth but.
Lutherans losses have been by very small margins and it looks pretty reflective of the comp.

Para hills will not be relegated this year I can guarentee that.

They will be relegated again this year. Bamford wouldve been in charge for 3 years and had them relegated every year. Also loses all their good players, including 2 captains but still manages to keep his job. Even blind Freddy can see that something is horribly wrong there.

Neither of these are correct. Injuries are not the excuse and never will be. When some of our stronger players come back from injury, then it will be nothing but a bonus for all grades

I can't comment on some individuals but i know as ONE club, we are not putting our performances down to injuries. Yes we have a few genuine A graders out but as I have said before, it hasn't been our excuse. We believe we are the better side though and look forward to the return leg.

For what it's worth I seen the last half of the FItzroy v Glununga game and I must say it was by far and away the worst display of umpiring I have seen in along time. Fitzroy was the better side by some way but the umpiring didn't allow either side to get a run on, they wanted to be noticed and ruined the contest. Interesting to read about players out from glenunga but from where I sat they were a fair way away from winning yesterday. Sorry but the end of the day the game was horrible to watch due to the awful umpiring display and I couldn't of cared who won. Just an honest opinion guys!!!!!

You can add a few more players whom have left cause of him. I know for a fact that a certain player whom got delisted from the Maggies, who would've been more than handy in their side, refused to return to the Big Reds due to the senior coach. Time to wake up PH committee, before your club does irreparable damage

I was at the Rams V Roys and I don't think Glenunga were blaming the loss on the guys that are out. They are obviously keen to see them returning soon but as a collective they were disappointed with their overall efforts on Saturday.

Perhaps it is more of a reflection after the game on "how are we going to fix this". Well some very good players returning soon, that helps, but unless there are 21 blokes coming in, it is not the only answer thats for sure. I certainly don't think they went in to the match with it as a "prepared excuse".

Credit to Fitzroy, they ran harder for longer, and worked for each other, that wins plenty of games at this level.

also think the fact that fitzroy dont like glenunga and really get up for that contest might go along way to the result
